Alright guys. I just wanted to let everyone know that within the next 30 days, fight nights are going to need a new home. We’re moving out of our current place, and I need your help! Who is willing to keep hosting on Wednesdays at 7:30pm? The scene is just starting to get hot, and I know a lot of people don’t want to see it die.
All we need is a garage sized space + a few TVs moved over to the house + some systems. So, post up ideas, everyone!

problem with weekends is that most responsible adults work and conflicts with their schedule and since summer means more business people are always needed to comply as a work slave @:(( reason why wednesdays work is because we get alot of people to practice\play more consistently than we do on weekends from what been seeing in reno.
saturdays are overrated. sundays and fridays might be better for getting some practice with others while still keeping our wednesdays of course for tournaments especially since the scene is getting better. and of course im still working on a prize as a seasonal thing, still working it out, so you guys in reno be practicing and stop playing lag fighter dammit cause that shit is gonna make you worse

Alright guys I’m renting a car to drive down there and would like to know if anyone wants to come along, you wouldn’t have to split the rental fees or gas, just make a contribution since I’ll be going anyways. So let me know I’m leaving Thurs 8th of July in the morning and returning Mon 12th of July in the morning. It would be cool to car pool with someone and have some company.
Also who is going to Evo here? Who’s entering what? I’m in HD remix and SSF4 I’m staying across the street from the Ceasar’s with Jason Nelson and Josh P. But I want to see everyone there and hang out for sure.
Is it anyone’s first time to Evo? I heard it’s going to be huge compared to what I’ve seen before. What are your expectations for this event? I really wish I could watch everyone of your guys matches but that would be impossible, the evo matches are so exciting and intense!!
I’m getting worked up just thinking of them. I also have really intense matches with you guys as well and have a pleasure playing with you folks. I don’t get to practice as much as I’d like, nor do I own the game but I still manage to use my style to decently compete, which is what I love about SF in general because some skills or experience from other versions always stays with you.
These local tournaments have been a great venue and real fun, I hope I have been friendly to everyone enough and if you see me always feel free to approach me(tall white guy, usually with a beer playing guile) because I like to meet the new players and it’s fun to see people interested in a game that has captivated me since I was in elementary school!
This is my first time to Vegas, also many years since I’ve been to evo (went the first 2 years) and a vacation for me as well. So I’m looking to have a crazy good time but not as crazy as that hangover movie lol. So good luck to everyone for this next tournament and I hope to compete strong again and every match is so challenging to me from the get go because everyone puts a strong fight up against me. So no shame is being double elim because I was feeling like that was going to happen to me last week and it almost did! And don’t give up in losers either. Oh the hypef it all!
Nice post Campbell I definitely agree with everything you said there. This will be mine and Hula’s first time going to EVO. Even though I wish I would have gone to some of the previous EVOs especially when Marvel was at its peak. I could only imagine what the hype was like back then in person. Nevertheless it will still be a great experience. We should play some ST on CigarBob’s Cab if its there!
I also entered HD Remix and SSF4. (I’m going to get bodied in both games too lol.) We will be staying in the Luxor most likely with all the Winnemucca boys! So that will be fun and its close to Ceasars.
I hope that we can all meet up at EVO and exchange a few words and just chill since this is literally the biggest tournament in the states bar non! 2,000+ people in SSF4 is just nuts man, I hope Reno represents! (This means you too Rob get down to Vegas!)
I have really been enjoying these local tournaments as well and I am very great full to Koogy and Jose welcoming Hula and I into their home and letting us play with everyone. I really hope the gatherings will continue even if the location will change because these nights have really been uniting the players it seems and pushing everyone to play their best and I would hate to see it all fall apart.
Thats all I guess I wanted to say! I hope to see everyone this Wednesday! Hula will be up there for sure this time and we will give everyone a run for their money
