Proof that Chris is god tier and should be banned.
When Chris is used so often that we have 4 Chris’s ranking in Reno’s hype tournaments, while
Everyone else is a even spread. I would say Reno Fighter IV is balanced, but we need to ban
Chrises, too gdlk!!1!11!
i understand where your coming from mark, but the same time its a given fact that i myself or any other doesnt have to tell someone to practice to get better.
tourney is to show what they learn besides the get togethers that we have on wednesdays dude. think about it for a second if nobody really played and practice/training. etc. and only played at koogys during the whole week, then whats the point in trying to make our scene better? does that make sense? like we will always have the same players up in top 3 if nobody practiced thats why reno tourneys imo are encouraged, sure you can have high level casuals but i seen alot of goofing off and i admit that i am one of them too.
again please guys do practice for our touneys, dont get discouraged and its not that your losing to the character/match up, its just that you need to find your “comfort zone” with your toon.
i hope my speech made everyone want todo better like no was ever was… lol
ps: dont be afraid to ask me advice, i do give some pointers as i said. but when you ask me i give a whole lot more info than usual, hopefully if you take my advice it should do you good. :] thanks for reading
Teach them the buttons. Teach them the joystick, how to hold it, how to have their hands positioned on it. Teach him the basic concept of the game, such as why a normal won’t chip you, but a fireball will. Teach him about the fact that meter builds. Hardest part is learning the match-ups and what to expect. It’s a slow process.
an example of the practice thing is that i’ve been doing bottom tier every tournament, and now i’m doing much better in tournament. i’ve been regularly trying to put 30 minutes here and there to playing people like jose. you will get better if you spend the time. if you don’t spend the time, you will not improve. unless you’re me at guilty gear
pressing buttons on a stick is something you kinda want to try to utilize most of your fingers. holding a stick well…i seen alot of pros and really good players holdings and it does vary from player to player. so i myself cant tell you how but make sure when your playing that’s its comfortable to you to do your moves from either side of the screen because that is important.
which reminds me, if you lose more on one side vs the other. i recommend that you go to training mode and do 100 reps of you special moves not messing up to try to make it easier for you to win on your bad side if you do mess up in your 100 reps start back to 1 and do it again until you didn’t mess up once out of 100. at one point i was not so well on 1st player side and with some reps i made my bad side better. :]] it works alot, dont doubt it until you try it
Oh man, too much goodness in this thread sometimes, it’s like we never leave koogy’s. Anyway, endless tonight on the 360, starting at 9. If you’re not on my list already, send me a friend request and we’ll get you in on it. That means you don’t have an excuse just cause you’re sick Scamp!
lee: i agree we should have fun practicing, but really if you want to improve you really have to spend sometime offline doing links or something. otherwise the person who gets 0-2 better not get mad
Man, my xbox is messed up or something. Every time I do endless matches it freezes when it does the saving then when its done it says the host has left the match. It just started doing this to me today too.
Sorry Darrikson about the live matches. My internet must be acting up or something but thanks for the beatings.
Edit:
GGs to Reaver, Brent, Borjan and the few games I could get in with Darrikson!
@SCAMP- I used 75% Guy, and 25% Akuma. I realized that i had my buttons wrong after the tournament. No wonder my raging demon wasnt coming out. I was “mashing till it worked” like Koogys shirt, but no prevail.
