so uh… let’s talk about juri. All I got for non-cornered BnB with good hit confirm is cr lk x3, cr mk, pinwheel. the rest is fireball games, waiting for punishments so i can dive kick jugglars, and some swheet pokes. Need more youtube/time to experiement/suggestions.
Didn’t make it to Martin’s because of work and Mother’s day, I did make it to Jose’s and Paul’s later on last night, GG’s guys, nice to see what Abel can do with that new ultra and get a better perspective of it.
Eric I’m not to sure about Juri’s stuff or else I would Chime in on that.
However I am liking Bison with Ultra head stomp very much at the moment and a return to Guile with sonic hurricane. I will see you all Wednesday evening as usual :nunchuck:
Check out the recent archived footage from the midwest championships, Floe used Juri and did really good with her so maybe you can catch some of that footage and gain some insight to her.

I’ve been studying/playing Juri a lot so I can probably help you out, but what you said in the last post I quoted was basically: “Juri has this b+b combo, fireball games, good punishment, and sweet pokes. I need more.”
And I’m like: Really?
Anyway, I’m not going to just spout off random tidbits that anyone can just read up in the Juri forums. If you have any specific concerns or questions I’d be more than happy to try and help.

Like I said, it’s better to be specific. “How to use her firebawls” is pretty specific. I don’t think he asked that, but I’ll cover it anyway.
If you can hit with the charge-up-kick, you should do it. It’s -1 on block which means it’s safe, and you can always release the fireball. Fireballs also give you advantage on block so you can follow up with pokes, FSE if you have it, dash in if they’re getting complacent, or just hang back and charge/throw more. EX fireball is also good for starting FSE if you need safer options to start it. Blocked fireballs are highly abusable in the corner, keep that pressure up.
The start-up kick is also excellent for charging meter. If the opponent is hanging back or has a hard time getting by them (Hi T.Hawk and Makoto!) you can just start charging/hucking them and gain tons of meter. If they put no pressure on you just start charging fireballs like crazy. Release the other charges while you’re doing one specific charge (in other words, if you do a fireball and hold LK release any other kicks you’re holding while doing so so you can do a fireball with that button next and not release a fireball) and you can kick your super meter into high gear.
Other than that, it’s generally better to consider them like pokes rather than fireballs. You aren’t going to win any projectile wars against anyone other than Dan, so unless they don’t have a great option to get by projectiles (Hi T.Hawk and Makoto!) it’s not a game-winning strategy to huck fireballs.
I believe Juri needs a new alternate costume where she’s wearing a swimsuit and holding a lollipop. On the side note, Floe was awesome [media=youtube]sjp39rswJdc[/media]

Floe’s matches, for me, also highlight Juri’s weaknesses on the defensive end. Pay close attention to the matches he loses. Simply put: Juri cannot afford to get knocked down, because she has no safe answer for wakeup jump-in or meaty attack. Also, Juri can be thrown out of pinwheel, EX or regular, so when Valle got in Floe’s face with ducking jabs and strongs it’s really hard to block properly and tech every throw as well.
