So guys, sorry to get the news to you a little late, but I just found out one of my friends in San Fran
is going to Singapore for a year for work, so this coming weekend I will be going to San Fran and will not
be able to hold fight night. Chris will also be going with me to SF, so there will be no one at the house.
If anybody wants to pick up the Danisen cards and take the ranking matches to some other place just for
this coming week, that would be cool. Because me, Koogy and Senryoku won’t be able to host, I am thinking
we should hold off next week unless someone else has a place open.
Also for all the people who were at our place this past Saturday, can you pleas let the other people know
who might not have a SRK account, I would feel bad if people came over 3’oclock Saturday for nothing
to be going on.

for awhile now i have been thinking about our scene that we have in reno. and of course with the help of some/most people i want our scene to be bigger, i want our scene to be better, and of course i want our scene to be supportive in their own way.
Seeing on saturday with andrei, alex, mike c, derrickson and hula and anyone else i failed to mention i really do hope to see improvements with you guys in ssf4. i understand people will have a bad day and lose to some silly stuff and that happens, and its cool i understand. just remember to keep your cool its not the end of the world.
im gonna give you guys a goal on getting better if you want to take yourself to the next level. please go into training mode set a character into record and have it throw you after a block pressure, and i want you guys to look up crouch tech and use that instead of standing up and teching. with this technique not only will you tech a throw you also have a crouching short kick come out to hit your opponent if they delay to long and have promise to block a uppercut if you time your crouch tech properly. i want people to work on this for the week since throwing is a big part of the game as well.
wolfbro you are young and that is good. the younger you are the more the mechanics will make sense to you and learning will become easier too with practice. just remember only headbutt if your certain it will hit such as: opponent jumpin at you, or in a combo and as well as punishing recovery moves. i want to see the young players shape up to become better than us old guys, haha. also ex dash moves from far away is not good unless you predict a fireball coming your way or ex dash upper is always good to get out of cross overs when your waking up from ground.
anyways i have an idea that will make our scene even bigger if you guys are willing to help, i propose that we should make some kind of flier advertising that we have a league/gathering in reno for ssf4/blazblue for all level of skill for people to join into. something on a flier with the help from someone in our group to make that would state our weblink to our reno tread in shoryuken.com so they can make an account and through that way we can give them location and time of when it starts. reason i say not to add a address on the flier is because i dont want someone thinking we are loitering around and of course i want no one to get in trouble plus to respect the privacy of gameday. :]]
anyways what do you guys think? should we look for more players? should we head over to the unr campus and check? i know unr has some game night somewhere, perhaps mike c might know more about it. i think the more people we get the better our rank system will work out for all of us.
if possible perhaps we can have people check the arcades such as atlantis and peppermill and try to get more people in. the more the merrier since it promises more diversity of character selection and playstyle
please write and tell me what you think, i really do want more players especially since ssf4 tanked after evo since some of our great players moved out of town or quit to play just blazeblue 
I don’t have any problem with growing the scene, but after a certain point, my place just can’t hold that many people.
Have a safe trip when you’re going down to San Fran Lee along with Chris in the meanwhile I’ll see if I can get the warehouse reserved for this saturday.
I don’t mind if we don’t hold the fight night at your house this week Lee.
But are we going to hold fight night at all somewhere else?.. That is the question.

venue is always something to talk about lee. your place unfortunately is not a permanent gathering spot if we plan to get a bit more bigger, more people means more options for a bigger venue plus the rate people leave and come in to hang out for the day im sure new people to fit in your place will be fine, getting one or two completely new people into the scene per month is fine(if at all possible), in truth lee im not going to find 30 ppl in 2 weeks and be an ass and tell them to all fit inside your place and then your floor collapsing below us ultimately destroying what we have going at your place.
no need to think that far lee, im just saying more people is better no need to take the word as bringing a whole football team in such a short time from nothing. new players and good players are hard to come by especially in our city.
i just want some discussion from what everyone thinks about making the reno scene shine.

I like your idea jose I too wanna bring in newer players like with Harley & his friends but, I got a question. If we wanna bring in newer players how do we make them come back to fight nights whenever we’re available? I understand that some newer players will be intimated by the veterans of Reno because of their skills & will make them lose confidence in even trying. Or that newer people will try to learn the game but, be frustrated on the process to learning because they lose all the time & they just up & quit. Should we throw in prizes, free food, or something? Or like a dojo where if someone wants to learn we would have a station dedicated to people who wanna learn & we have a veteran where they teach them spacing, footsies, etc.? When I talked to Harley about why he didn’t join the danisen is because he didn’t really take the game seriously & he wanted to play the game just for fun & face new competition besides playing online & his buddies plus his scheduling conflict on saturday nights. Should we host more than once a week? I’m just throwing some ideas out there feel free to criticize.
We need to find a new place. I’m working every couple of days on finding a location where we can get together, and play. However, most venues cost money, between $100 ~ $300 per evening.
So, we’re stuck right now with what we can scrap by. If you know anyone with the following, please pitch to them having fight nights!
