lb knows everyone
Hehe im not gona sit here and tell rob not to quit i read his post and talked to him what it comes down too is he will be back =)
most of the time when people “quit” its cause of the reasons he posted either its not fun, dont have time, cat died.
etc… but what usually happens is people quit for a good while and realize gaming wasnt really stopping them from doing anything so they get back into it…
I DUNNO IM A CHOBO >_<
Hate to swoop in like a vulture, but um…how much for that modded DC or yours? And is it in good working condition?
Feel free to to either PM me or post up your price here. ^^
WEEE I got dibs on PS2 though :).
JP
Well, I think it’s about time I get serious with my practicing. I’m debating learning Axl and Testament with my Slayer, any suggestions?
venom
yeah venom is tight but he takes time…like ass loads of time…then again everyone in that game takes time…except millia cause millia is a whore
=/
god millia is easy!
please explain how…i would love to know (been playing with her for only a couple of weeks)
Hah dope, though we don’t have anymore MvC2 players Nick. We have our “CvS2” crowd, but I dunno. Since after NCR we might prolly show up here and there at the arcades. It’s not Hilton anymore bro, it’s over at Atlantis. For directions, ask anyone here how to get to Atlantis, since atm, I’m tired and I have to get to work tommorow morning ; ;.
JP
Practice 1 character and also learn how to play the game correctly. Then after you do that, and actually get better with that 1 character you can then venture off and learn others.
JP
P.S. I’m too lazy to quote Muff, but I’ll just say this, don’t get into a debate about how Millia is “easy”. It’s just another stupid debate and asking more about it will just prolong it again. It’s annoying and frankly it’s dumb. :). AND WHY CAN’T I FINISH DOWNLOADING SCRAPPED PRINCESS I DUNNO BUT DANG IT I’M DYING TO SEE IT ; ; (2 more hours hopefully I get no more errors :D).
i leveled 5 levels in 2 hours o__O can you say bard + 2 whm + ranger + warrior + monk
crazy shit, hey jp how much does “revival root” go for? O_o
who’s nyacono?
i bet he’s a fuckface fag cock.
who’s jp?
i bet he’s quitting games.
reno dies.
gg.
…
you don’t want none of the yacononator. o.o
I feel I should throw in my too sense just to clear up a few things… just to get everything out of the way once and for all.
First off, about the whole Nick Yacono thing. Yes, we had our problems. Yes, we hated each other. The fact of the matter is: I don’t hate him anymore. In all honesty, I never had any REAL reason to dis-like him, other than the fact that he could be a little sarcastic at times. What can I say? I’m a sensitive mother fucker, and when I take things the wrong way (I take EVERYTHING the wrong way) I get hostile and start talking shit. I shouldn’t have done that, and it was stupid. I really like Nick Yacono! I think he’s pretty funny, and really good comp. Thats. It.
About the other stuff: Look, I’m really sorry about everything. I really love all you guys, and I was always very excited to hang out with you guys, be it at Rob’s house or at the Atlantis. I loved Reno Crew, and I still do! Quite frankly, I don’t know how we can survive with the two biggest stars in the crew just leaving after Pac North 2. It’s really sad, because when you think of RC you think of JP and Rob. They were the OG members, and they still hold true to this day! It just hurts, knowing that we have to play these games without the guidance of someone so top player like those two… this really sucks.
About Reno Crew: The one thing that really made me appreciate everything in general was Rob’s talk at NCR last November. I wasn’t getting any better at CvS, and I was so sick of SC2 that I didn’t want to play anymore. After that night that Rob told us all to get our asses in gear and start to be competetive, I really took it to heart. Now, all I can think of is CvS2 (sad, I know) but I know that is what I have to do to be competetive. Call it… my way of the ninja. I never really went with you guys to Rob’s and to tournaments and such, but that was really my fault. I always felt a little too young, and that you guys were a little weird around me after the whole mess I started (be it with Sr. or whatever.) Once again, I don’t blame you! The main reason I am here is to play CvS2, and to play it well. I don’t care about anything else.
I’m sorry to all the people I’ve been a jerk to.
no my issue really isnt whether or not millia is an easy character.
my issue is, i find nothing easy about learning ggxx at all. and adding millia to the works just makes it more frustrating for me.
bahhh…this game has just frustrated me this past couple of weeks. there is something that is just not clicking with me.
im not understanding something…what it is… i dont know right.
it just hasnt clicked. Alls i know is im getting hit too much, and i dont know how to stop it.
i’m gonna give reno crew the KUGLER BREAKDOWN of ggxx. this is what i did to learn the game, and every character i play
**1: figure out ANY tech point for any move you throw out **
example: slayer throws out a 6k and they jump; when can they tech? can i air throw them? can i dash under them?
**2: realize what your character is about. realize the purpose for ALL their moves! **
example: chipp’s longest range isn’t trip, which is the common belief; it’s his standing dust. this was intentional, and it’s only a pixel or two more in terms of range, but it’s enough to have that element of high/low at half screen
3: realize that every move gives different amounts of tension, guard stun, hit stun and what not; this can help you figure out what will work on the fly if you practice this sort’ve stuff enough
example: after running in, millia can do air combo x2 and build a full 25% of her meter; this is intentional, so she can do a blue-roman disk or blue roman her low 214p attack
4: counterhit, counterhit, counterhit! each and every attack has different counterhit propertys! this is intentional, as ggxx has -alot- of situations where counterhits lead to FREE DAMAGE! sometimes the counterhit effect isn’t very noticeable, such as a float (they can’t tech as quickly) or a weird one like chipp’s counterhit HS after a 236p (they will FLY across the screen; it’s unique to him only.)
example: slayer can beat almost any ground based attack with j.hs, but j.d takes the cake in XX for it’s counter-hit ground bounce effect; leading to 50% damage combos.
5: realize all your gatling combo options, and why they’re there. some are repeating gatlings (chipp’s 6P -> close s.s -> 6P -> close s.s -> 6p) and some cannot gatling off of ANYTHING except one move (faust’s 6HS can only gatling off of s.p)
*example: i-no’s 6HS can only be chain-comboed into from a 6P in XX. *
**6: most importantly, GREEN ORB ANY SPECIAL ATTACKS! this is critical, as life is so precious in ggxx that losing so much as 5% from chip can mean life or death later on! **
*example: eddie’s pressures with shark-drill can drain you down about 10% after about 2 reps + 2 hands, and he’ll probably do some gay-ass grab after, and then you die. *
these are all pretty basic to me now, so hopefully they help everyone i posted for. also a random note worth knowing; if an opponent air recovers and lands, he can IMMEDIATELY be thrown. :o
Haha nice one Paul, though I think some n00bs won’t understand some of that. At any rate, Muffin Man, learn Potemkin. No combos to worry about, just set ups here and there for your Pot buster and reaction on Heat grab.
