POSSIBLIEZ:

this probably means round robin #R + 3s tournament, but normal tournament for t5

I’ll be there.
You’re no match for my Yo-Yo spin.
Yo yo ninja boy!
Ong Bak is an awesome ass movie!
Everyone remembers Doug from Nick, right? Well, here’s something everyone could enjoy. I rofled. XD
Tantin says: Hey.
Tantin says: Second in 3S this week. First next.
First next = koogychan, sorry.
Good tournament, you guys! It was a lot of fun, and I hope the next one is even more successfull! The food was great (Sup kuglers parents. <3 to you) and the set-up was very professional. A lot of great matches.
Some Pro’s/Con’s
Pro:
-The food was dracula. Next time, we all should chip in and make it happen!
-The layout of the tournament room was very comfy but professional.
-There was enough joysticks to provide everyone with a nice playing enviornment with no bitching.
-Drinky Milk was owning noob’s at “One liner-stand off!”
-The dope MvC2 video. Every time we hold a tournament, there should be a fun little thing like that to make people excited about gaming or whatever.
-Tantin.
Con:
-No casual set up. It would be nice to have two set ups for anyone who wants to chill and play some games.
-Not enough nekoz showed, so we had to round robin some games.
-$1 entry for some games. Even though this worked out in my favor (sup $27) I’m sure Justin and JC felt jipped when they only made a $1 profit.
-Tantin.
Everyone practice up for the next tourney! I think there should be some consistency with entry fee’s and tournament rules, but overall everything was great. Drinkynekoz votes A-!
Where is the tournament results?
3S:
1ST: Nick S
2ND: Tantin
3RD: Rob
4TH: Paul
5TH: Justin
6TH: Vinh/JC
#R:
1ST: JC
2ND: Rob
3RD: Paul
4TH: Tantin
5TH: Vinh/Justin
6TH: Nick S.
T5:
1ST: Justin
2ND: JC
3RD: Rob
4TH: Kugz
5TH: Vinh/Nick S/Cameron/Tantin
I think.
Some possible changes depending on feedback:
-We can have a casual set-up if you want, but someone needs to bring their PS2 with them. Then we can have a set-up or two if you’d like.
-IF PEOPLE WANT… I can pick up a splitter and record the tournament matches with the microphone set-up idea we had… but it’s 45 dollars to do it. It’s a 5 way splitter. If people want videos of all matches, I can set that up!
-The price of each tournament will go from 5 dollar 80/20 split to 3 dollar WINNER TAKE ALL. This is a little cheaper for everyone, plus it gives you alot of money if you win!
-BI-WEEKLY FORMAT. Robin suggests that we have one week tournament, one week casual day. This gives us some time to mess around and have fun while still keeping competition high.
-VIDEO SHOWCASE! This seemed really successful, so I think I’ll try to find some crazy videos to show everyone.
It all sounds good. I’ll be bringing my PS2, and I’ll chip in for the splitter/whatever.

So, I don’t think we can use FFA’s style, since we don’t have any people. I suggest we do it how JC recommended. By the number of people playing. If six people are in, then six for first, five for second and so on, with zero points for people finishing dead last.
I don’t see why we can’t use their ranbat style. The problem with the “how many people entered” style is that if say… one week we get a random 6 people tournament and the week after got 10, the person who won the 6 person tournament is fucked. Also, the 2nd place finisher isn’t really worried, because they can just have one more person enter next time. Having a large point different between 1st and 4th is awesoe, because it forces people to play their best for the most points.
So, we’ll use this format for all our tournaments so far. I’ll ask Campbell to update the reno site so we can get some new shiz going with the point rankings.
EDIT: This is the splitter. http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&category_name=CTLG_003_010_001_000&product_id=15-1172
Good point. Also, I was thinking. Why don’t we like… keep all the money aside until the RanBat season is over, then give the best player in whatever game the prize money from all the tournaments?
rentantin -_-
u guys are nutz
