You oughta see what they do to asian nationalities they don’t like. Main example: Cyborg 009. There was a chinese guy working on the same construction site that 005 had a job at. He looked like a squinty-eyed pig crossed with the love-child of a retarded rabbit and a crack-whore gerbil. And look at the OTHER chinese guy in the show, 006. He looks the same, only his nose is huge, and he lacks the Bugs Bunny-esque buck teeth. They made the chinese folks in this anime hideous…some of the old hatred taking animated form. Coincidentally, the black guy here looked okay.
now wonder chinese cartoons that shows about ww2 , the cartoonist drawn japanese as ugly yellow dishonorable bastard…

There’s a black character in Final Fight Streetwise who is a pit fighter and has a Flash Kick. This obviously must be Remy’s father. So the answer is YES!

The black characters I only know of are:
Mike, Birdie, Balrog, Dee Jay, Dudley, Elena, Urien
Mike Balrog is ONE character
Dee Jay and Elena are black. As well is Damnd and Edi. E.
Birdie, Dudley and Urien are not black!!!

Mike and Balrog are not confimed to be the same character as far as I know. It’s been an old possiblity but no true confirmation was given out was there?

They haven’t been confirmed to be the same character, but Mike is probably the only SF1 character I could care less if he shows up in the comic, since Mike and the SF2 boss look a lot alike and are a lot alike and in the comic the SF1 tourney was just Ryu fighting Sagat anyways. Man, I sure am tieing most of my posts to the comic today…
And yeah, to further confuse the issue, remember the original SF2 intro of the white guy and black guy fighting? That was Joe and Mike if memory serves.
About Urien - Um, I dunno. His brother Gill is white, skin color anyway. When you play as Urien, his skin color is white and he has blonde hair for a few seconds where he’s wearing a suit and then his suit comes off and he transforms to the Urien we all know. And just about every artist seems to ignore this and make Urien look black even when they draw him wearing the suit. In the game his default color is a golden brown, yet in artist’s renditions he doesn’t quite look like that. At the end of the day I suppose we don’t know exactly what nationality Gill and Urien are anyway.
All we need is Tas to come back and we can transform this into another “Is Dudley Black” thread.

1 in night of the living dead the main male character is a blackman name Ben who is the last person to die that’s right all of the white guys die before he does.
this is what Romero said to hollywood about cast a black character in the leading roll.
Hollywood: why did you choose a black character to be the lead character why not a white guy.

birdie use to be white but they changed him to black. In his quote he says that he was sick.
Dudley is also black but edi E is not black.
On topic. I think it would be stupid of Capcom not to relate Remy to either Charlie or Guile, but as they haven’t done so, we should all just accept that it could just be a coincidence.
