For some reason my attempt to search through the forums didn’t result in a lot of information regarding this.
It is indeed possible to remove the turbo panel (then cover it with artwork or what-have-you) from an Xbox 360 Madcatz TE, is it not? Or does the stick not function properly without having the Xbox guide button (I’m sure you could somehow drill/dremel a hole in the stick to move the guide button elsewhere, but I’m not sure I’m looking to do all of that)? Or is it possible to move the entire panel down inside of the stick to have it hidden, if you cannot bypass it entirely?
And another non-tech question… I was reading a post about stick setups (either here or eventhubs) and it mentioned that rapid-fire is illegal during tournaments. Does that mean that just having the turbo function on the stick makes it illegal, or is it okay as long as you do not turn it on?
The turbo part has 2 screws that you can remove and take the turbo panel out and if the ribbons long enough you can easily relocate it somewhere else.
I’m not sure about removing it and still having the stick work fine or not on the stock PCB, but on my TE with an aftermarket PCB I removed it and got plexi to cover the hole and artwork over it.
Sorry to resurrect this old post but I’m just now trying to take my turbo panel out and ran into a small issue- also had a problem finding info through searches. So far when I unplug the CN6 cable, my start button stops working as if it were locked. Is there a way to remove the turbo panel without locking the pause button?
It’s a Soul Calibur V stick for 360 with a ChimpSMD v3.1 added. Thanks!
The grounds on the quick disconnect terminal for Start and Select are separate than the grounds for the other buttons. Flip the terminal over, and combine the Start/Select grounds with the other grounds and you won’t have this issue.
