Is there a quick reference for the config menu? I was able to make some changes by stumbling blindly, but I want to be sure I’m not missing any interesting tricks.
So quick question, it may be really early to ask this since the Remora board only works with the Madcatz 360 pcb right now but does anyone think that it would be possible to get the Remora board to work with the Qanba q4-raf pcb? I would love to see how the ArcEye3 would look in a Eightarc Fusion Synthesis.
it would proably be better to hook up the Arkeye3’s to Sparky PWM SMD LED Controller instead of the Remora board
Thanks for the idea to use the Sparky controller, but I really was hoping to adapt the Remora board to the Qanba dual mod board in some way.
You can always hard wire it but then you loose the convenience of plug and play. Other that the MadCatz sticks Cthulhu boards or PS360+ is your best bet
Thanks
Will it work with dual mods like the TEasy Strike and Cerberus? Cheers!
You win Toodles I submit I had been meaning to order your new SLG anyway. Have you installed any in plexi replacements yet if not I guess I’ll let you know how it looks and order placed
Quick thought I had while planning my mod. Because the SCV stick has the different button layout (handled by the sticks PCB) does this mean the connection labels on the Remora board will be incorrect. ie the connection for B will actually be the connector for RB?
The Tournament Mode/Off is cool.
I keep playing with it.
I’m meeting with MarkMan on Saturday.
Going to fix Gummo’s work.
No, it works fine. Main<->Distro board connections are the same despite version. Main<->Turbo panel connections, too. The only changes between button layout versions is the turbo panel itself.
But with the sticks with a different layout (ie, the SCV stick), wouldn’t that mean that certain effects (for example, a cylon effect) would not cycle through correctly?
There’s a remapping function so you can tell the Remora what button is where for just that reason, and also tell the Remora if there are only six buttons instead of 8.
Awesome. Seems there’s nothing you haven’t thought of
So how is the remora program mode accessed, is it like the widget where you hold jab or some other method? Also is there a pdf coming to your website soon cause I know most of the instructions you make are for install. This one is practically no brain needed just $$$
Damn Toodles this is the first time I have ever ordered from you and not received a shipping notice the next day, you must be swamped with orders from the past weekend. Its all good I’m just spoiled from your fast turn around time.
ETA on PS3 fix?
Simple question(s): I’m planning to install a rocker switch in my TE on the 5v line from the TE Kitty to the VCC on the Remora. This way I can turn off the LEDs if I want or need to.
Is there anything I should be concerned about or pay attention to when doing this? For instance, I’m assuming the VCC line only supplies power to the LEDs and the Remora would work the same way as the stock TE button signal distribution board without it - is this correct? Anything else I’m missing?
Thanks!
If it’s anything like the other boards Toodles has made you’ll be able to turn the LEDs completely on and off by holding down certain buttons when you plug the stick in. Unless you specifically want a switch.
Oh man, that’s even better.
