Team Columbine (Wesker/Vergil/Dante) is pretty silly.
I can imagine though Zero/Vergil/(pick an assist) is gonna be the be the best Vergil team overall

Switch Vergil’s assist to Rapid Slash, gunshot, teleport shenanigans.
Any of Doom’s assist will help either of them. Experiment and judge for yourself.
Hmm that’s actually a good point, hadn’t really thought of it like that. I might reconsider strange then, but I am having too much fun with hawkeye.

Viewtiful Joe (Voomerang)/ Vergil (Rapid Slash)/ Morrigan (Dark Harmonizer)
Viewtiful Joe primarily zones with voomerangs, calling in Vergil to put them full screen, also calling Morrigan for meter. This goe son till Joe gets a hit or DHCS. However Joe can land a hit pretty easily and if he does I ussually TAC to Vergil for meter+ a nice reset situation after an OTG High Time.
When Vergil is out, I have Summon Swords around me almost all the time. I call Morrigan and ton and just teleport mix up with the swords. Plus I use Vergil Rapid Slash to devil trigger as a mix up too. My Vergil is mostly based on left/rights.
Finally if Morrigan is out, I pretty much do the same thing as I do with V.Joe cept based on Soul Fists with Astral Vision even more. In Xfactor, these fireballs do a ton of chip and lock down and also shes a lot faster so she can rush down better, and do a lot more damage.
Deadpool’sOTG is the fastest in the ganme, but it uses a ground bounce so if you’ve already used one, you can’t OTG.
I dont think Vergil need an OTG to be honest. Who do you have Dante’s assist as?
However, Team Trenchcoat is a great team, with Verg/Dante(Weasel Shot) Wesker(Gunshot/Jaguar Dash) It gets around zoners and rushes down anyone, plus you’ve always got a chance for lvl 3 x factor wesker comeback which is really really easy.
There are better anchors that have better assists than Vergil. Strider in paticular is better than Vergil as an anchor because in x factor level 3 Oruborous hes almost unblockable. Vergil just has spiral swords a few times which are kinda tough but really not so so so tricky.

True, but Strider doesn’t really blend perfectly with Banner & Strange. Oroboros is cool, but Dimensional Slash goes with Gamma Crush & Spell of Vishanti.
Still, the Varja assist could help Hulk with Keepaway. Might give him a shot.

Plus, Vajra is like a jam session that hits anywhere. Pretty much straight up stops super jumpers… And you can pick up the hard knockdowned opponent with gamma tsunami or spell of vishanti.
Been thinking about Vergil/Storm/Dormammu. Does anybody know how well Trick and Vergil’s Berserker Slash work w/ whirlwind?
i haven’t seen anyone post a video with vergil performing a combo with strange’s assist. i read a few people mention that they’d make a good team together (my current team being zero/vergil/strange), so i thought i’d try to come up with something.
check this out and let me know what you think. im sure there’s a better way to optimize the damage but i just thought i’d post this to get the ball going on their combo potential.
Im pretty sure deadpools katanarama resets the ground bounce.

I put frank in the middle because If Vergil has 2 meters and ends a combo with his qcf hyper, you can whiff dhc franks qcb hyper and take a picture. This usually pus him at lvl 4.
I’m having a hard time figuring out who I should use next. Right now it’s between Nova and Wesker.
If I’m not mistaken, isn’t that the grab? I thought he had to be LVL 3 to even use it.
Franks grab hyper is srk motion. Qcb is his survival techniques hyper

I’ve been losing so much online putting Vergil in with the old-schoolers I used before that I was like eff-it, I’m using all new characters & I somehow landed on Vergil/Frank/Nova… & it’s stuck so far. I like Frank second too because if I can successfully get two combos off with Vergil, the second ending with DS… Frank’s hyper allows for the entirety of DS to hit & easily DHC’s into Cart.
Anyways, for your choice… I’d say go with Wesker so I can have Nova! jk jk, but why not start with Nova first & if Nova isn’t cutting it as anchor in the first game, switch to Dark Wesker
Just a quick update on Vergil/Wesker/Dorm.
I’ve been changing the order around to see what works best and I think I’m just adopting the strategy of attempting to kill off a character with Vergil then DT-ing to get that godlike assist. I put Dorm second to take advantage of this since DT rapid slash puts them all the way across the screen when blocked, allowing for at least 2-3 purifications before they are able to come in and rape you (character specific of course, teleporters excluded). Dimension Slash into Chaotic Flame/Stalking Flare after a full Vergil combo usually kills anyways so Dorm being second is nice for that since Dimension Slash into Maximum Wesker is shit for damage.
I’ve been putting Wesker last since he gets X-factor lvl 4 and basically can chain a c.L after a s.H, which is retarded in and of itself and incredibly cheap.
I’m running Dante/Vergil/Akuma. Which assist should I use w/Vergil?

Im sure Vergil with Sent would be GDLK. Any rushdown/mixup character with Sent is GDLK
