Genei Jin 12 is fucking brutal. Chun is still good but it feels like you can abuse your new gimmicks to beat her shit now.

Well I stand corrected. It is possible to cancel LP Flashchop into SA1 with Alex. It’s just really hard to do, and you have to cancel off of the first hit and it feels like it’s 3 frame window to cancel. You can also do it off of Dive but it’s really hard to do against Hugo and I assume any tall character.
I don’t think it changes much about SA1 though.
Also: WTF is up with the Eskimo mimicking Dander?
Edit: Discovered a bug.
Alex’s crMP into LP Flash does not combo against Oro. You can still combo into EX Flash or EX Shoulder though.

Some additional thoughts:
Alex: I’m split on the new SA3. On the one hand it’s a good AA and it’s safe on block, I’m going to assume you parry it like Chun’s SA2 and they have to parry before the flash. Could be wrong. Problem is that’s difficult to juggle them. I tested on Hugo and if he is right in the corner and I do MP Flash then SA3, the first two hits of the super will land but the rest will whiff. However, if Hugo is a little away from the corner (About 1-2 character spaces) the full super will hit so I dunno if it’s character specific or what.
SA2 may still be the best Super because of all the EX you get. Now that Alex can combo off of cr.MP and can use EX Powerbomb whenever. He becomes very legit. If he has EX you run a huge risk if you pressure him on his wakeup. EX Powerbomb will go through everything, so you have to bait it or back off. Alex has never been about comboing into Super, he’s more about using EX moves and pressuring you on wakeup or throw gimmicks. Just giving him EX Powerbomb and a better crMP makes him even more reliant on EX.
Another bug (I think): Using EX Powerbomb on Hugo, it seems like he wakes up quicker then other characters. If you use EX Powerbomb you can do HK Shoulder to get back in there and try to pressure but by the time you get they’re *just *starting to wakeup, so it may be risky and the timing is a little tight. Hugo however, can wakeup well before you get in position with HK Shoulder. I don’t think Hugo has a faster wakeup time, does he?
Edit You can also use Alex’s SA3 for an Akuma/Dudley style reset. You can just jab them in the air and do it, there’s probably other setups you can find. So yeah, Alex rises to Yang level as far as supers. Like Yang, SA2 kinda’ sucks but it gives him plenty of meter to do whatever. SA3 is overall better but gives him less meter to work around bad matchups.
Yang: SA1 is still worthless. It’s just not worth it for the damage you get. I would fear the dude who figures out his Genei Jin combos.
Elena: Falcon Lift is for some reason difficult to get out. Even though it’s a HCF motion and I can do that in my sleep it seems like it just doesn’t come out half the time.

I just don’t get it. All RVN had to do was come clean about how he got the tools or the rom. And start a thread somewhere or make a YT video or something asking for input. Why make changes to a character that you don’t understand at all? Unless this guy’s a troll or part of the Mugen guild it just makes no sense.
*Just keep Alex’s crMP cancellable and keep EX Powerbomb and we’re good.
