What system did this game come out on? I remember it faintly…playing in the arcades back in the day:wonder:
NeoGeo.
I know Fighter’s History Dynamite was on Neo-Geo, but was the original? The sequel was always in a Neo-Geo cabinet, but the original had a stand alone with six buttons. I remember when my arcade got Fighter’s History, we had two Neo-Geo cab’s as well, but Fighter’s History had it’s own cabinet, and of course the six buttons.
Just curious.
Indeed FHD could be counted as a cult classic.
There was a matchvid DVD released just 3 years ago in Japan.
why not have just one thread instead of two for this?
i still say that ray is above masto and lee maybe zazie also
Hey man, we’re hardcore like that.
FHD was also released for the JP Saturn, which you could select between FHD, or the English/US Karnov’s Revenge.
Aww, don’t hate on World Heroes Perfect. =( Though the rest of the series is hot garbage.
Thanks for the info, and I am very interested in any videos you can offer!
I remember that retarded weakpoint system it had.
“Damn, he punched my elbows! Now that tiny piece of cloth I wrapped around them will cause massive damage for some reason!”
better then getting redizzy by a black guy with dreds off a crossup:looney:
Got some hot vids from NEC8 of FHD right here…
Gotta find them though dont ask me to do that I have done enough…
But they are there…

Cant you just use his character name?
Also, could you elaborate on this redizzy?
Bumped…
Does anyone know how to do Zazie’s dashing uppercut that has little recovery and goes through fireballs? Is there a trick to doing it?
I’ve tried to do it by dashing (fwd - fwd) and doing the uppercut motion at the end but i swear its not the same or as continuos as in the Mikado vids…
I’ve found this is the easiest way to do it:
:r::r: :l::db::d:+Kick~Punch
So basically you tap forward twice to get the dash input, then quickly do the uppercut motion, and as soon as you hit Down you need to do a kara input of either of the Kick buttons followed immediately by either Punch. Having to do all those inputs makes it difficult to do instantly, but give it some practice.
For the combos the Mikado and other Japanese players do where they combo into the sliding uppercut with a standing LK, it’s best to do it by doing the first hit as :r: + LK, then the rest of the motion.
We’ve got another thread for this game in the Other Games forum, and a little while back I started working on updating the game’s entry in the SRK wiki. Most of the characters don’t have any info up yet, but I do intend to rectify that eventually. I’ve sorta been slacking off on that lately
also I still welcome any and all challengers on this game on 2DF. If anyone wants tutoring practice sessions on any characters I’ll gladly do that too, just hit me up if you see me online
^^what a superstar…now that is what i’m talking about! Thanks for the info and the links to the other threads. I know this game has a lot of shortcut moves (such as Karnovs teleport, charge db > dwn fwd HP~HK or something).
If you have any other shortcut motions i’d be so grateful, i use Karnov, Zazie, Feilin and esp. Mastorius. Marstorius always does thing weird cancelling stuff from crouching hard kick and jabs in the vids…any ideas?
Marstorius’s cancels aren’t shortcuts per se, but rather it’s what happens when you interrupt any of his normal moves with a Double German motion (half circle in either direction) and then press punch. If you’re close enough to combo it in hit stun you will of course combo the Double German, but if they block (or get knocked down in the case of his sweep), it immediately cancels his move into either a Light Punch or Hard Punch.
For instance, if you do his crouching Hard Kick and immediately cancel with a hcb+Light Punch, he will go from his sweep into a standing Light Punch. This is useful because cancelling into that LP drastically reduces his recovery time compared to if you just did the sweep by itself.
