Ya I just realized the irony of me always talking in religion threads, being an anti-theist and having this handle.
I just want to ask, what about the older religions that predate monotheism hmm? No one ever argues for the mesoamerican gods, or pagan gods.
I don’t know much about them. But did they promise eternal pleasure/torture for believers/non-believers? Or just explain how things work?
That’s usually the selling point for a religion to be successful.

If I recall, I read a book dealing with metaphysics, that mentions that there are higher dimensions and the higher you go into the dimension, time and space will seem different. You know that saying a thousand days to God is like one day for man. Time is shorter in this 3rd dimension. Some claim to have outer body experiences and traveled for months and its been only couple hours when they returned to their body, claiming to see strange entities or angelic nature or extra terrestrials that travel interdenominational in Earth and other planets.
If you are interested in having an out of body experience,“obe” look up astral projection. Look up Robert Monroe, anybody can do this and it seems like the rave these days cause kids are doing it too. I’ve done it once, but I saw some things that I didn’t like and it didn’t like me too.

I think Polytheism (as in Animism) does predate Monotheism because civilization records from China and India are allot older than the civilization records we have in mesopotamia, if i’m not mistaken.

Basically, just claiming to believe in JC doesn’t automatically make a person “saved” because belief is defined by a persons actions. You can read more examples in verses where he was talking against Pharisees and Scribes.

Monday = Moon’s day.
Tuesday = Tiw’s day (the Norse god of single combat).
Wednesday = Wotan’s day (the Norse god Odin).
Thursday = Thor’s day (the Norse god of thunder).
Friday = Frigg’s day (the Norse god Frigga, wife of Odin).
Saturday = Saturn’s day (a Roman god).

You should look at the book of enoch, There are a bunch of names of fallen angels. You can just go to youtube and listen. Then theres the “Testament of Solomon”; he knew names of demons from the lower dimensions and had power to control them. Rumor is he wrote dozens of books about controlling demons but can’t find source. If it was true it would probably bad idea if it was in public. Probably in Vaticans Library somewhere.
