I feel like a complete idiot, but is there something special to the rekkas in this game? Like something unique to the timing? Especially with Duolons rekkas. I don’t see a character forum or anything, or a thread for him so I just felt like making this.
I have a problem with his rekkas while I can somewhat perform Kensou’s fine~ so I’m wondering if there is something really specific about the timing for this because it’s pretty much killing me.
Training mode is worthless if I keep doing the same mistake over again for hours. :<
Mmm~ not sure if you’re just trying to make me feel worse, or are trying to actually be really helpful.
The last paragraph was helpful, for another problem I was having, but I have no idea where this is going to help with rekkas unless you were just trying to be cute.
Sorry, I really can’t tell. You didn’t say anything at all. lol
I am trying to help you, that page pretty much says everything that needs to be said about why your rekkas won’t come out. According to it, you just need at least input d,df, f or uf with the stick holding forward or up-forward or have it in neutral as you are pressing the button. Try flicking the stick, if you are still having trouble.
I also play a rekka character as well, so I am having a similar problem, but that page helped me, just read through it.
Oh I see~ because I’m holding forward, the damn thing won’t come out? That’s so silly~ and makes so much sense now. Because I play rekka characters in other fighters and found that it was sooo weird for it to work here. This is great info, sorry I just didn’t understand what I was seeing. Though you were trying to show me how to do the fireball motion. xD
Thanks~ also the tidbit about running and doing a qcf motion would get a DP, that is so annoying trying to get the knee out with Benimaru during a dash and getting his DP instead. Super helpful stuff, thanks. <3
No, you should be holding forward, as you hold the button. Made a mistake in my typing sorry. Honestly, it’s easier to just put the stick in neutral. You should still read that whole page.
Duo Lon’s rekkas are really fast compared to the other characters’ like Mature or Kensou. The best way for me to visualize the timing is that you’re basically bouncing off the other guy with Duo Lon.
Do you practice with input display on? I found when I was first trying to do Duo Lon’s rekkas fast, I wouldn’t actually be inputting forward prior to hitting punch, it was just down-forward and punch. Slowed it down, made sure I was correct in my inputs, and gradually sped up. There’s no secret or specific timing or pause, just do one right after the other.
You don’t have to be super fast with them either, even if there’s a slight delay between rekkas it can still combo properly.
