Regarding 1000 Post Threads

So i’m not really sure how it all started with the whole closing threads at 1000 post thing. I want to say i remember being told it needed to be done way back in the day but I think times have changed on SRK. Since I see threads with wayyyy over 1000 posts in other regional forums from here on out unless told otherwise threads will no longer be closed at 1000 posts so have fun!
