We had a cool fight last night. It’s obvious you’re so much better than me, but hey, I’m proud of my almost perfect first round. Somehow my mind can’t handle two Sakura’s on one screen. Too many tactics, too much information.
But I must say, I’m slowly getting better. I have the feeling I’ve hit rockbottom and I’ve started moving up the rankings. I’ve won like 400 GP the last week.
I’ve met another Sakura last night which combo’ed me with a combo I hadn’t seen yet: Between the Shunpukyaku and the Otoshi there was a quick Shoryuken. It didn’t do much damage, but it looked cool.
I was just playing a Ryu who kept taunting after every knock down to try and get my angry, especially when he threw me like three times in a row.
In the second round, I did the same thing to him, but I took off about half of his health with throws. He threw out a random ultra at the end and I EX shouoken’d through it
Damn I’m so fed up of all this bullshit pussy tier whoring turtles >.> It’s the same all fucking day, they either start off as Ryu or Sagat or change after I beat them once.
I can’t be bothered to play their boring game anymore, if they’re content to sit in the corner throwing fireballs all day I’ll let them. I’ll just jump over them, throw fireballs back and absorb them until they get bored and come to me or there’s a time out.
Anyone picking Ryu or Sagat is grounds for instant booting from my room after the match, regardless of who won or how well or scrubby they played >.>
Yep that’s pretty annoying. That’s why I’ve got such a low GP-score. I just stop playing against those spammers and give 'em the ten points. I even had a 30.000+ G1 player who did it for 2 full rounds.
But the best moments are when I have another spamming Ryu take away at least half of my life bar untill I start fighting and kill them in one long dizzy sweep. It does fail quite often if they get a chance to put in a shoryuken but it’s well worth those other boring, very boring fights.
The only characters I enjoy fighting are Fei Long, Cammy, (Gouken), Dhalsim, Honda, Zangief, Vega, Abel (He’s probably the most fun!), Viper, Rufus, Fuerte, Sakura, (Rose), Dan. I leave out Gen and Bison because I’m totally helpless against those.
I don’t mind who the other person picks as long as the other person isn’t boring to play against. Unfortunately, a lot of people are because internet points are so important!
I can’t stand fighting Dhalsim, mostly because I have no idea how to fight in that matchup.
I’m fine with playing anybody else though, except maybe Blanka because I’m not familiar with that either. Once I figure those matchups out, I’ll be fine with playing against them.

Here’s a happy post: I just won my first g1 championship! With a total of 600.000 CP I defeated a typical Sagat in the finals. But not only that: I have been in the n00b-zone (15.100 GP or less) ever since I’ve entered G1. And for the first time I went through that psychological barrier with 15.260 GP. I’m happy. I’m just afraid what will happen once I get my stick.
I’ll see if I can post the video tomorrow. It’s pretty much the way I beat most Sagats unless they have a lucky streak with some hard kicks.
It’ll always go okay until the semis, then I’ll end up paired with someone with like 50k+GP and it all goes downhill from there.
Or I’ll slip up, like earlier against this really good Viper, I could have done an ultra to finish them off, but I slipped off the d-pad and ended up doing an EX tatsu (which missed)
I absolutely hate Honda’s online! Offline I dont mind, but online I really really hate Honda. I have yet to fight one the doesnt turtle behind reason! Of all the charge characters, I think Honda is the worst when it comes to turtles. Come to think of it, I dont think I have ever seen a Honda step forward lol.
For me online play is strictly for fun and goofing off and I play it as such. Like trying to win the match from nothing but throws or nothing but jump in kicks or not using block for any reason at all. Random is your friend for online, although me and Joe have had some of the most epic Ken vs Ryu matches and Dan vs Rose matches. So I dont want to be in online match that makes me work my arse off because the other person wants to have a staring contest!!!
Hadouken, Hadouken and Hadouken He can’t get past it with EX moves like Blanka so he’ll either have to lose his charge or take chip damage.
At least they’re more fun. I’d rather play a challenging aggressive Honda that kicks my ass than a boring turtle that I’d just have to Hadouken to death
The only problem I got with Honda is his strength. But most of them are more fun than any Balrog match I’ve played in months. Have you ever seen a Balrog that didn’t Ultra during any round? And those short jabs are so boring and annoying. Brrr. Yep, I prefer Honda over Balrog anytime.
I agree with that I was just making a general comment. Honda and Balrog are tough cookies to crack. But I’m like you Soul of Wax. I rather play Honda than a Balrog. Those jabs mess everything up.
A crappy Balrog is generally easier than a crappy Honda, mainly because crappy Hondas spam shit I can’t really punish and turtle all day where Balrogs just seem to spam c.LP all day long
I think I’d rather play a Balrog of any skill to a Honda though. Seem to have a mental wall against Hondas
i’d rather see more hondas only because I already see way more balrogs. Also, I get tired of eatting heabutt > ultra 27 times a match against balrogs… :sad:
