SRK’s Live stream was fun. Played good games against a really good Mak, and got some people telling me that I have a solid Sak. Very happy, but I need to improve and I am willing to improve with Sak all the way!

If you know your ranges and dps, this match up really isn’t that bad.
But I also believe that Sakura can be a nice "counterpick to Honda.
Yeah I definitely agree. I almost beat our countries best Honda with her at our last ranbats. He was getting real mad when I’d zone with fireballs and shouoken every jump. We were both agreeing that she was broken lol. He does play a good rushdown though and would pin me in corners or just do shitloads of damage real quick. So I won the first game, then screwed up the last round in the second then switched to my main Akuma (cause I usually start with Sak then go to Akuma when I lose) and got raped almost.
The hadoken shooken trap doesn’t work against a good honda, at all.
If he jumps he’ll trade your shooken with j.mp in his favour, whooptidoo?
And yes, the matchup is THAT bad.

Turtle honda can be tough. Can always charge a hado or fadc one then c.hp or something if shou won’t get him. s.mp can beat his headbutt anyway and buttslam can be dealt with. Hands and s.hk are the ones to really worry about.

J.:mp: beats out a lot of the proper shoto tools, yeah. I think it’s even more important than Honda’s New Jersey Fierce.
Yes, I’ve been using j.mp air-to-air for a long time and I can vouch for it being really good.
j.Strong is a good air-to-air tool in Sakura’s arsenal. Good range that can catch people on back jumps, and pretty good priority. Still pretty surprised that more players don’t use it as much. I still need to work it in more to my game.
Fought one of the best Hondas in the states (as far as I’m concerned) in a tourney who would go for the j.strong, but I would go under it more than anything. And even if I mistimed my DP and got hit, I got a nice fierce sho juggle.
And Sakura’s strong button in general is really good. Really need to start pressing that button more often. (Just started using it more with Bison too…)
c.Strong is a good anti-poke.
j.Strong is a good air-to-air move
s.Strong is a good anti-air move, especially against Rufus.
Sak’s Strong is good overall in my eyes. I just need to learn to use it at the right times. I can consistently land s.Strong against a dive-kicking Rufus, and I understand how c.Strong can lead to counter-hits. Still need to learn how to use j.Strong to my advantage against back-jumping players.

I’m still wondering what that thing is that sticks out of Blanka’s head. It seems like a stick to me. And I’m not to sure about the shape of the flame: does it always go up this high? Or does it depend on the character? Anyway I see a large, kneeling male character who is protecting his face with one hand.
Oh well for all I know it could be Karate Clown. I’ll stick with Sakura anyway…
I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t see shit. I’d love for it to be Karin-don’t get it twisted, but I see literally zero identifiable features.
