i wish we had a better connection flowers… id show you some tricks or two. most blankas are free to me (note this is not saying i win 100% of the time against all blankas), but for the most part blanka is one of my highest win %. simply cause c.mp and s.lp breaks everything. now if you have any tips for deejay or t hawk (i have only beaten 2 t hawks EVER), then i would love that.
T. Hawk is easily out ranged by Sakura’s pokes. Cr.Mk, S.Hk and basically anything in the air will beat everything he has. Keep him at Hk’s range and mix up between pokes and focus attacks. (Only moves you shouldn’t focus are Ex-Spire and Condor dive) Though it could be the T.Hawk that I usually face, but this matchup seems pretty free for Sakura.
Wow, I haven’t played SSF4 for about 4 weeks now and I get completely wrecked. What the hell is happening? Lost about 1000 BP in a few days. Oh well… Looks like I can start all over again 
when t hawk stays on the ground hes pretty free… my problem is the dives and the empty jumps. if he empty jumps, c.HP whiffs and he gets a free 360… if he dives i cant punish. ive tried hp shouoken, but then i just end up whiffing and eating a 360. this is what kills me. then theres also the flying thing where he goes horizontally, my hadokens dont come out fast enough to hit it.
You need to learn to j.mp him on reaction to his jump.
damn t hawk…lol that reminds me…i went to my first tournament this past saturday and i told my friends…the match ups i dont want are T Hawk, Blanka, Zangief…and my first match was Fuson909’s T.Hawk i lost…then in losers…a blanka lol! my luck sucks…but surprisingly i won that match… barely. then xblade’s feilong got close surprisingly since i used none of sakuras combos or mixups…because xbox just felt super weird…i kept missing the cr.hp for some reason i need to play on xbox now since that’s what most tourneys are played on…i didnt believe the whole ps3 has a delay thingy…but now i do
I was just looking at the top 100 Sakuras on PSN and their PP.
It seems western Sakura players average around 3000-3500 PP and Japanese average around 3900-4400 PP.

Do lp shouken which can then combo in to mp shouken. Hp shouken is too slow to hit him unless you can time it right. Also it doesn’t do as much damage as cr.hp but it’s better than letting him get in.
Whenever T.Hawk jumps, you can beat him out with either J.Mp or J.Lk. Other air normals will work too, but those are the best for stuffing T.Hawk’s crappy air moves. (And anyone else’s, really.) When you block Condor Dive, try simply punishing with S.Hk. It punishes, and leaves you at favorable poking range for Sakura and not T.Hawk. When he does Condor Spire (the horizontally moving move you mentioned), you can beat that out with pretty much whatever you want. If it’s not EX, you get a free Lv.2 Focus into mixup. Generally, you don’t want to rely on using Sakura’s shitty fireball to punish anything.

Blargh, I’ve gone up to 3100 PP, but then dropped down again to 2500 PP, all with Sak.
Highest I’ve been is 3192 BP. Then again, I jump around all the time in Ranked…I even play random select in Ranked. Online points do nothing for my game anyway. 
There were about 10 Japanese Saks in the top 100 with 5k+ but on average most had around 4k. You got the Japanese talent!
As for me my highest record on PP is 3499 which I had yesterday. Thought I’d get one more noob to push me onto 3500 PP but then I had a Sakura mirror match which I barely lost cos I tried to air to air his ex otoshi. I can’t believe Sak didn’t deem me worthy enough to be on 3500 PP. After that I had a 4 losing streak and went down to 3074 PP…
Now currently on 3300 or so. Got Sakura to 10k yesterday and picked up two double perfects! It was a good day. Now working Rose who is currently on 6.6k. Dudders is on 5k. Juri is on 1.3k. Not started Rog in ranked yet. This is all on my main account which was banned all September. Now people are trying to say I play Ranked mode too much. Then how come I have 26 win streak in Endless? How come I have 80 Team Battle wins? I have 24 Tournament wins. They forget that I waited nearly two months after the game released before I even touched Ranked mode. I’ve always been a friend list kind of person. Even yesterday I spent 2 hours on ranked and 2 hours on Endless. Feels good to be 10k with Sak though. I never thought it possible before but since I saw so many Team Sakura players with high BP I thought I’d give it a try. Picked up a bit of hate mail along the way too. I hadn’t gotten any hate mail in quite a while. Only praise.
So I was 3k PP playing mostly Balrog. I tried Sakura in ranked and went down to 1.4K PP losing a lot of matches for no reason. Its weird because I mostly play offline and I’ve only been using Sakura for months but she is still worse than my Rog. I don’t get it. I know its always my fault when I lose with her, but I don’t get why I haven’t gotten extremely better. Watching a lot of Uryo vids though and working on 1 frame links.
Hmm, i stopped around 3.6K when i got back from PC version(that’s like 2months ago ?) but then i figured ranked was full of scrubs/rager and/or lag-abusers so i stopped caring and played some Dan :woot: No tight timing required, there’s only frame traps and mind games. I just wish it wasn’t instant auto-loss against Akuma 
Could probably reach 4+K if i bothered learning the new char match-up(well, i know the theory but i still haven’t found a comfort zone like I do against the vanilla cast).
@Obanye : You’re stuck at 1.4K really ? O.o Your play-style is probably too influenced by Balrog(Claw or Boxer? please remember that there are players from Europe/Japan also visiting shoryuken 
). You should be able to top to 3K with just cr.hp, cr.mk>shoryuken and cr.hp>ex.tatsu :lol: The problem isn’t the 1-frame links imo; before starting to immitate Uryo you should start or restart with the basics(make sure you’re AA-ing every jump-in, and strenghthen your overall defence with tech throw os, etc…).
I’d say that 1 to 2K players are the G3-2 equivalent of vanilla. Their only method of attacking is a basic jump-in. Just by shutting down this one option will put a lot of stress on them and you should be able to freely zone 'em or go on the offense.
had my sakura up to almost 8k… then i got on piss drunk and blew my points down to 6k =(
My PP went down to 1.4k now its like 1.6k but my BP with Sakura is like 3.8K. I just went on a losing streak is all. Not that points matter at all. Really I need to learn a lot of match ups but I am getting pretty comfortable with Sakura now and am working on implementing 1 frame links at all time to up my game as well as learning safe jumps, option selects, optimal punishes ect from vids. I have really bad execution so I’m in training mode nonstop to get past that barrier.
I still don’t know any option selects. That stuff is like doing fractions to me and I hated math class. I only got a C in maths.
