Whats up guys. I was wondering if there was a way to record XBL chat AND continue to talk. I would assume a splitter going to the headset and computer would allow me to hear but it wouldnt allow me to talk…
Any suggestions?

Record the audio output of the TV? No splitters required.
But you cant hear the audio over the regular bgm and sfx
edit: Also, I’m trying to be able to talk and listen also. Its very hard to hear over the game.
You could turn the BGM and SFX off in the game settings
The whole point is to capture the chat and add it to the clip, bgm and sfx included. I did find success in playing with the preferences but it shuts game sound off when chat is going on. It’s a fix but not what I’m looking for.
You could create a cable that splits it in to headphones and mic, then us a dual port splitter for the headphones output so you can send that to your recording device, and record your own voice seperately on another channel. (Mixing desk for the win)
Make a PC Gaming Headset to Xbox 360 Adapter
[Edit]
Change of plan - just build the above cable, then use a mixing desk to monitor the outputs with a normal pair of headphones, and at the same time use a mic to record you.

Thanks for the suggestion I’ll check it out on my lunch break.
