Now i don’t know about your zone
But i usually just wander around various flea markets for example in my town’s flea market there’s usually jackshit but in the flea market in the town that’s about 2km from mine there’s like PlayStations 1 and 2 at every angle and they usually cost no more than 20 bucks 10 if you’re lucky or have good contracting skills
In that case then it’s no different from here but like i said kep searching you might just stumble upon something valuable my cousin got a PAL copy of panzer dragoon saga complete in box for only 10 € last year (lucky bastard)
Yeah I stop by the thrift stores from time to time to see if I might get lucky. I forgot I found a DS Lite in the calculator bin last month for $5. That isn’t a bad price at all, but I already own one of those too so I just gave it to my mom.
I should be buying up all the PS2s and flipping them for a quick $40 on CL, but I’ve gotten tired of dealing with the flakes and weirdos. The last guy I dealt with was high on meth or something and tried to nonchalantly get in his car and drive away with the item I was selling.
I wanted to get a Hori Fighting Commander 4 cheap, but even the used ones on E-bay were selling for more than the brand new ones I could order off of amazon.
Well I brought it out to him, he put it in his car and made some conversation to distract me while I was waiting for the money, then tried casually get in his car and leave. Of course I’m not an idiot, so I reminded him that he needed to pay. He said it slipped his mind, but I knew from the moment I met the guy that he was gonna try something sneaky. At least he didn’t give me counterfeit bills.
I’ve had mostly good interactions in person while selling and buying, but I expect guys like that when using CL. I have heard that some cities/towns have started making CL meetup areas next to a police station to help reduce the amount of people being robbed or scammed. I might get back into selling if I have one of those nearby, but the problem with selling consoles is that people want to try them out.
Reminds me of the Steven Universe episode 64 “Keystone Motel”, Were Steven and Garnet accompanies Greg to the state of Key Stone (Pennsylvania) to buy some Automatic car wash brushes from some dude Greg meet online. “If I am not back with in the hour call the police”.
Okay this is not a sale or discount or clearance.
If anything the prices are a little on the high side but if the products are any good they might be better than the official accessories.
I went to http://retrogamesupply.com/ and got their 2 in one Sega Genesis/Megadrive and Sega CD (the Megadrive 2 version) and their PC Engine power adapter.
For the Genesis/Sega CD it is to consolidate adapters from two bulky unregulated power bricks to a cleaner more sleek single adapter with a regulated output.
The PC Engine was an attempt to find an adapter that works for the PC Engine without getting overheated, as these Japanese power supplies tend to run a bit too hot on US power grids.
Not just the official NEC adapter for my PCE ran hot it was supplying more than the marked 9 volts making the voltage regulator (7805) in my PC Engine run hotter. Yes the 7805 can run with 7v to 20v but all that excess voltage gets used up by the 7805 as heat.
After this if the PCE still overheats I might go in and replace the 7805.
not really a deal but it’s readily available for the people in the states that want a venom ps3/4. there’s only one and is about the same price if you had it imported I think.
Got a Suzo Inductive for about 23 bucks, the seller wasn’t sure if it worked or not. I haven’t tested it but if it doesn’t work I guess I have a decent spare parts stick. I never seen one with a white label on the bottom with the patent numbers and all that jazz.
