I swear to god if I could get my damn paypal account to work I’d order one.
Yeah, only downside is the Hori buttons. I figured the JLF in it is worth $25 and I like the HRAP cases. 2 left now.
damn amazing deal. I just have no need for one right now…
They’re gone now. It looks like he sold 12 of them for $50.
I think I’m becoming MarkMan. I have absolutely no need for another stick but I got two of them anyhow. The last time I tried to buy one of these it was $70 with a busted PCB + shipping. I’d hadn’t been looking for one recently.
Ugh yeah… I admit I picked one up lol… My Girlfriend actually talked me IN to it… kinda weird.
Yeah, I was thinking worst case scenario it could be resold for at least 80 or 90. I’ll probably keep them though.
I was also reading up on eBay policy. He can’t ask for more money once we have paid. With a buy-it-now he is under obligation to sell it at the price that is listed. He can be negged and reported if he refuses to sell them.
Yeah I got one of those too, even though I just bought a FS3 to mod, along with a Sanwa stick and some Seimitsu buttons. Now I’m gonna get yelled at because “I don’t need two more controllers, and pick up all these PCBs and soldering shit!” Oh well, with a deal that good I knew I had to pounce on it. I’ll probably just end up selling the FS3 to a friend who actually has a PS3, haha.
You have to cross the obsession threshold to get the girl to let up. Mine was pissed when my third stick came in. Now that I’m up to 12 or so she just accepts that I’m nuts. I’m sure I’ll get grief over getting these though.
I picked one up to hopefully barter with someone on here. I would probably trade straight up for an Anniversary stick.
Recently got a PC-Engine Duo RX for $200 shipped off a pc-engine forum, and it included and Arcade Card Duo. Usually those things go for $280 shipped on ebay. I’ve wanted one for the longest time.
Nice. I plan on picking up a Core Grafx II when I stop spending money on sticks and other crap.
Attention: eBay issue!
Okay so for those of you who won the Buy-it-Now for the linked HRAP EX, were you sent an email by the seller’s “customer service” address saying that the listing was completely and utterly incorrect? Apparently it was supposed to be just a Hori EX2… which I guess makes the asking price the only “logical” thing about this massive error. What really makes no sense is the revision history, which shows that at one time the listing was set to a different BIN price ($129.99 in fact, according to the purchase history).
Not only am I wary of the fact that I was emailed about this, instead of messaged securely within eBay, but the “customer service” statement said that I could either take the EX2 if I was “still interested”, or get a full refund. I call bullshit on that; there are no listings on the seller’s eBay store for EX2s by themselves, and the revision history shows that the price and quantity for the listing was changed on the same day, within three hours. Because of that, the entire “stock” sold out within two days. This entire fiasco smells really foul.
What do you think I should do here? I already sent a reply email to the “customer service” (cs@hotdigitalclub.com for those who care) voicing my dissatisfaction and frustration. Once again, to anyone else who decided to jump on what seemed like an amazing deal: were you contacted, and have you done anything yet?
[edit] Ugh. Every time I look at this revision history page, I get more and more furious. Okay, the quantity was changed on the 4th, then the “shipping terms” on the 16th and 17th (probably to free shipping). Then on the 18th, the BIN price changed along with the quantity, and that resulted in the rest of the stock being sold out within two days. Meaning, December 4th can more or less be safely assumed as the last time their “stock” was assessed, and as recently as the 17th the listing was still set to $129.99 for Buy-It-Now. The purchase history completely correlates with the revision history. Someone fucked up hard, and I think they’re trying to cover up the mess…
Ugh…
Just replied to mine. I told them that it’s ridiculous to offer a product, then retract it. I told them if they aren’t going to send me the proper product, to give me a refund.
So pissed about this as I ordered new buttons for it from LL already…
just pick one at ebay. Street fighter anniversary Pad. $0.54 + $5.50 shipping. good for hack.

This is the most plausible explanation. That EX2 story is lame.
Edit: Just received my refund. Ah well. At least they didn’t sit on it.
These aren’t so bad. You can fix them up with a few minutes of hackery.
Yeah oh well. Asked for a refund. It’s not THAT good of a deal if you compare it to the EX-SE. $50 HRAP EX + $30 in buttons is $80
If you already had buttons like I did, then it is an amazing deal. Besides, I need the extra room inside the stick for the mods I wanted to do. I’ll have to work with this FS3 for now…
They just sent me a refund. Absolutely wonderful. Not only that, but the refund is in a temporary hold in my PayPal because the funds necessary for it to show up in my PayPal aren’t back in my checking account yet, which is where the money from the original PayPal purchase was withdrawn from anyway! I fucking hate all of this.
