Recent Purchases and Good Finds

I LOVE my DreamcastS.

I can play Mvc2 with 3 Ryu’s on my dreamcast.

Just picked up a SNES Mega Man X2 cart for $40 and Super Mario RPG for $35. They also have a boxed up Zombies Ate My Neighbors that I’m eyeing but I already own the cart.

Also picked up a PS2 --> PS3 Sumoto converter. Never really heard of these until I saw it. Anyone have an opinion of them?

Went to my local gamestop just to snoop around and to my surprise i stumbled onto cvs2!! Been searching for it for months i know i could buy it online but i haven’t found it cheap anywhere i’ve been but holy shit gamestop had it for 14.99 i couldn’t pass on it!

They also had Mvc2 but i didnt have enough cash on me to get it :frowning:

cvs2 ;__;

i’m a little ashamed (just a little) of how i got my cvs2. old arcade buddy came over one time, this was after the arcade had closed down and we hadn’t talked much. I invited him over for some video games and he brought cvs2. At the end of the night he wanted to borrow my FFX-2 and left cvs2 as collateral. after that day we didn’t talk much and he never asked for cvs2 back…

That’s something that would happen alot to me back in elementary i lost ff3 for the snes that way. Then there was one time i let one of the kids there burrow super castlevania 4 or w/e the snes one haha and got mmx just before summer vacation. The kid ended up moving away during the summer so i never saw him again!

i saw these on ebay just now, and was wondering if these are easily modded with sanwa parts for use in a DIY cabinet?

Skipp it. Avoid new sticks with suction cups.

Some of these things aren’t strictly tech related, more like my gaming pick ups for this week, I will understand if it gets pruned.

Complete Amstrad CPC 646 with colour monitor and a box full of games with it, the lady selling it could not have looked more surprised that I wanted it. Ā£5/$8 for the lot, it’s seen some action and I wasn’t expecting it to work but it runs perfectly. I haven’t tried most of the games yet as each tape takes around 10 minutes to load. So far Predator is my least favourite, it takes around 12 minutes to load and if you die, you need to load again.

Not much to say about these, they were all super cheap and looked interesting, the same vendor had some rental only original Playstation games but the discs were horribly scratched, it’s a shame as I really liked those cases.

Another PSone, this one is Australian for whatever reason. I’m pretty sure Australia uses PAL too though.

29 Official Nintendo magazines they aren’t retro but they’re in amazing condition and I got a really good deal on the price at Ā£5 for the lot. I really like how all the spines make a picture.

A Mad Catz racing wheel, I vaguely remember seeing them advertised, all I know for sure is that I feel a game of Ridge Racer Type 4 coming on.

This arrived from eBay today, it’s in really good condition and contains the Silent Hill demo. I really want to start a game now but I know I’ll end up staying up late and making myself tired for work tomorrow.

Exactly.

That old chestnut. (not trying to shit in your ice cream, but that’s a myth)

Don’t want to burst your bubble, but… http://nwavguy.blogspot.com/2011/07/banned-at-head-fi.html

Lately I’ve been up all night and sleeping during the day looking after our new baby, and playing on stick is sort of a no-no during that time, can get pretty noisy in our little apartment…unfortunately, the alternative of playing on PS3 pad makes me want to throw the thing across the room - but problem solved! Got a Hori Fighting Commander 3 Pro for my birthday, and the thing is great, definitely a great find, best pad I’ve ever used in my life. now I can play every night without waking anyone

We do have options for deadening sound. That is a cool pad though.

CVS2! nice find! you shoulda robbed a mall rat for a couple more bucks for that MVC2 though LOL those are super rare…

Unrelated, but it’s a small world. Whattup Fraze? Dan Johns here. Rhymed over your production on the eclipz joint ā€œwhole armyā€

Side note: my local GameStop has the ps2 version of SF anniversary collection for cheap. But I don’t have a ps2. What are he minimum req’s to run pcsx2 smoothly?

Yoyo what up fam! Loved the vid for that too man… Not too sure if you can run that on a emulator but if your looking to play 3rd strike just cop the new version from DLC on Ps3 or 360. Holla if you need beats too lol!
