He sold me a bare case, I got the parts and I did the rest. I wish I had just paid for a complete case because he gets the parts at cost, the price of the case & the parts cost me more than buying a complete stick from him with artwork, theme… For it to be worth his time he needed to make near the same mark up on the case or it would have been pointless for him. He is a family man with kids so his time doesnt come cheap but IMO it was well worth the coin.
I do have his number but your better off PMing him on SRK, he will reply in a day or so.
safe…
Damn that’s one slick looking stick
so I bought a PS3 TE-S for $50.
Is this thing really that troublesome to mod? I want to do a dual mod for it sometime hopefully…
Dual modding is going to be a bitch if you don’t know soldering, you’ll need to get a 360 pad and wire it up. Would have been better to go with a 360 stick.
Just found out I had a $35 reward zone credit with Best Buy, used that and a 10% coupon to get Halo Reach limited for $35.
Any way you look at it, you’re looking at buying an additional PCB to do a dual-mod OR buying a full replacement PCB.
Down the line, the new PS360 replacement PCB Akihabarashop is going to sell is probably your best bet.

It’s going to be arounnd $30. The only other all-in-one dual solution is the Paewong PCB but it’s $64-$70. Every other solution STARTS at $30 and gets more expensive because of the parts and additional PCBs you have to buy.
Akiharabarashop IS saying the new PCB is solder-free and it does sound like the easiest and cheapest dual-mod solution for PS3 and XBox 360. Other solutions involve riskier soldering and there are stories upon stories of people having problems with these mods.
Don’t expect to retain all your stick functions, though. You’ll lose some of the features that come with the Mad Catz PCB. It’s inevitable with any PCB replacement. If you need or want that stuff, don’t bother with the replacement.
Get yourself a cheap/used 360 Fightpad and a DPDT switch and that’s it. If you have soldering experience then you’ll be fine. Plenty of guides around online if you need any further help.
It is amazing price! I bought mine for about $350 Shipped from Japan. Where you found it?
Damn, that is an awesome price. I paid around $280 shipped and thought it was a steal.
I usually check ebay about once a month for sticks, just in case. I randomly typed in HSS, saw this sitting at 80$ with 25 minutes left. Put my Max Bid in (200$) and wound up getting it for 178$ Shipping was around 25$ so 203$
Came with all 3 insert Cards. I removed the stock PCB, and panel, and replaced it with a 6 button I had. Going to be wiring this beast for Project Box. Going to be AWESOME.
Thats nice, bro!
SSF IV inserts looks good!
Does it come boxed? Do you have manual, guarantee card?
I bought mine for $225 From Hit-Japan, another $125 was for EMS shipping.
Got a pivoting Dell LCD monitor (shmups) and set of Harman Kardon speakers for $35 today at a garage sale. I’m finally up to 1280x1024.
Where did you buy this control panel from?
Thanks in advance.
I got The HSS on Ebay. The Spare Panel I bought off the Trading Outlet.
I really didnt want to pay more then 50 but i did cuz there was 2 bidders and pushed me off to 91 shipped not bad for rare capcom panel.
I can finally post in this thread!
HSS-0136 $25 plus shipping, gonna negotiate with the seller to send it to my Uncle who’s in japan for the next two and a half weeks, and not pay $55 on shipping… even at $80 I’d be happy with the stick.
Sorry about that, but I really wanted it too.
Nyko Core Controller, not a bad price, not-so-great d-pad.
SSF4 is now $19.99 @ Targets. Dunno how many people that post here could possibly not have it, but it’s a steal of a game for 20 bucks (even if it is getting stale, it’ll tide you over till MvC3 or MK)
