Where is this shop in Texas?
Gonna try this again (first time it didn’t go through).
Found these Hori Fighting Commander 4 Wired Controllers (PS3/PS4) at Fry’s on their website weekly deals for $39.99. Good for padhacking if you need one.

Wow, I ordered one of those yesterday from Fry’s. Didn’t know it was a weekly deal.
Thought I’d get one then because eBay prices skyrocketed. What gives? Is everyone padhacking or it’s just that good of a controller (in which case I’m going to have to get another)?
Yeah, every Friday, Fry’s has ads that last for a week at Frys.com/ads. I always check there, so definitely bookmark it and check Friday mornings.
Why are they skyrocketing? I assume it’s because there aren’t a ton of them out there, and I have to assume people are buying them for the fighting games and/or padhacking. It’s not the greatest controller ever made, but it’s a nice alternative to what’s out there.
Plus it’s got that native PS3/PS4 compatibility. Wish Hori or some other company would just sell these PCB boards for the cheap so we don’t have to go lookin for em to break open.
Just got one of those nifty power8 portable workstations for about 150.
Some recent deep sea fishing from the eBays:
$12

The knockoff Genesis controllers are about 85% to the official ones in feels and the mono sound is half decent.
My only gripe so far is that there’s a reset button on the face of the controllers Still all in all it’s a great portable solution that will probably work with 99% of all Hotel TV’s for some on the road fun.
In the future I may ask @Gummo to mod the PlayTV PCB into an SE or TE stick sorta like a poor man’s version of his OUYA ATROX stick. Would be nice to have a road stick with a built in game B)
As far as the GBA, its a GBA, B-/C+ in condition, everything works, so I’m happy, no real plans for it yet… but the price was right B)
Double post but whatever.
Saw this today at pawn shop for $30 as is. Had a frayed USB cable and looked like it needed a friend. Cracked it open, resoldered the cable, all was well. Spoke to jdm714 for noob help.

I am glad your nursing this stick back to health.
It just needed some tender loving care.
I’m jealous of these stick finds.
I should try to hit up these pawn shops or thrift stores in my area (never have, honestly), but they’re just so out of the way…

I just checked Craigslist and found a te stick with replaced plexi/artwork for $25. I would scoop it up but I’d rather not drive all the out there when I got so many sticks already.

Hey, that’s one of my stores! What’s the first five numbers on that white tag?

This was just a fluke for me. Last time I saw a stick in the wild (aside from retail) was a T5 several years ago. I have literally no need for it. It just looked like something to play with.

It’s EZ Pawn - 01102
Ah, I should have guessed it’d be a texas store. We have tons of them out there.
Yep Texas. Two of them in my tiny little town.
I found this and I can’t tell if these are PS-14-GX buttons, anyone know?

No, these can’t be, the legs on the switch are at the cente, but they’re not offset like current seimitsu switches.

GX switches had both terminals off to one side. These switches look clear and have centered terminals.
Maybe they’re bootleg ps-14-gs

Look like the old Namco buttons.
Aliexpress has all manner of bootleg arcade parts. There are strange things out there.
Back again for another month’s update! I’ll try to get back into the swing of this.
