RC LARIAT OWNS! (Roll Cancelling Gief)

this is very tricky cause if u use this against people who know about roll canceling, they can’t determine what kind of Lariat it is… only difference is the sound, but that’s somewhat hard to hear… i trick my friends at the arcade i go to… man sagat has NO crouching fierce priority… i wonder if RC KK is better then RC PP… someone tell me the differences and whats good against more sagat moves… btw… it’s frikkin hard to rc a throw… if you know when to press the roll, state it here

I know the kk lariat recover faster. I RC the kick lariat because its easier for me. Yes RC lariat does own. I guess you play N grief or C grief. I use C groove Dashing 720 feels too good.:mad:

one thing you must know about Gief is that (like in alpha3) his kick lariats hit even with his chest too,the puch one hits only with the arms,so like in any street fighter when dhalsim does a fierce,do the kick lariat,this is a small thing I’d like to bring to your attention.

personally i have an easier time doing RC spds. How do you guys rc the kk lariat?My zangief is pretty much the workhouse of my team but adding the rc lariat would help outlike nobody business. does the invincibility last for the entire lariat? occasional if i knock someone down ill do a kick lariat and then 720 has soon has it ends.(should have seen the look on the guys face) so it kinda works anyway but being totally invincible would just be sweet.

and yes dash 720 does rule.

RC 360 + k owns up anyone who trys to zone you with pokes :stuck_out_tongue:

Curl your middle and ring fingers, hit roll with your thumb and index finger, and immediately do the KK lariat with your knuckles on the curled fingers. This is an essential move against Cammy.

Against Sagat, if you have him knocked down in the corner, walk a little bit away and RC punch lariats on his wake up. If he wake up supers, you’ll hit him or walk through, if he tries to stick out anything, the spinning arms will hit him, and if he blocks, he can’t duck the fists, so it’s free guard damage. Against people who haven’t seen this tactic, you’ll see them go through a checklist of things to try and beat it, and they’ll get hit every time :tup: .
