Razer Panthera + Screw in buttons Sanwa OBSN?

Hi all,

As the title says it.

Can i use the Sanwa OBSN 30mm screw in buttons in a Razer Panthera PS4 (not the EVO model) without issue?

Your feedback is welcome!

Yes.
The button holes should be approx 30mm and considering the stock buttons on the Razer sticks are
Sanwa OBSF 30mm, there no reason why Sanwa OBSN 30mm or any other 30mm buttons woudn’t fit.

Maybe because the sanwa obsn nuts are too wide in a vewlix layout? or maybe there’s a nut that’s gonna be beneath the mounting bracket ? not sure as i haven’t installed those buttons in a panthera panel

You can use Seimitsu nuts on Sanwa Screw ins if that an issue
They got the same thread size

Or just use Seimitsu screw ins

Yup.
As @Torta and @Darksakul mentioned. The physical holes of the Panthera will fit Sanwa OBSN screw-ins.

The problem is that the Vewlix layout doesn’t accomodate Sanwa screw-in nuts (the nuts for Jab/P1 and Forward/K2 will get in the way of each other).
Seimitsu screw-in nuts are thinner, and have the same thread as Sanwa nuts, so they work as a suitable replacement; you don’t actually need to replace all of them, just for Jab/P1 and Forward/K2.

If you can find one, please get a screw tool. I have a scar on my right ring finger from where my hand slipped trying to unscrew a Samducksa button, it was not pleasant.

I always feel with the exception of the RG buttons and the rare OBS-30A* and OBS-30B* buttons
I usually pass on Sanwa buttons, especially the screw in because of the larger nuts and Sanwa Screw in has limited color choices.

Spoilered only because it goes off topic

Note:

The OBS-30A and OBS-30B use the same size microswitches Joysticks use, like Happ/IL buttons would. A’s are Snap in, B’s are screw in. The Switch Assembly is called Sanwa OBS-M-1 Microswitch
