Off a corner Nemesis command throw, I got over 740k meterless. GET HYPE!!!

I really need to re-setup my video editing software, my old stuff had a problem, and work has prevented me from getting the new one up just yet. But in due time, people!

Nemmy command throw, hardtag to shuma, on certain hitboxes I can cr.H and eyes M, st.S, MHS, tag in Doctor Strange (yeah, no one else really fits the tentacles theme there, sorreh), impact palm S, two impflames reps, land, imp flames imp launch, 3 reps, land, imp+Clocket assist and flames, jump when they wallbounce, catch them and do another 3 imp flames, land, impact palm DP+H. 740k, maybe a few k more.

I did it…tears up…I did it to make you proud! XD

With a straight-up Shuma bnb, I can hardtag in mystic ray, st.H and clocket, as they come down from the wallbounce hit with all the eyes, launch, MMHS, wait for explosion, cr.H eyes S, HS, mystic ray, explosion, more eyes, Super, eyes explode, j.S, Super. I love Shuma combos, but just learned him about 3 days ago, so I can’t really open people up the best with him yet. That one builds a lot of meter but still WAY less than the Nemmy one (I swear that above combo’s so big I bet it builds enough meters by itself for a level 3, have to check), does around 975k using the two meters.

yeah I can’t really see practical reasons to hard tag in shuma during nemesis combos…

Some of the reasons include better meter build and more damage than what you would get with a straight up Nemesis combo.

After Nem’s command throw in the corner, the Shuma variant is easy easy easy. I’d do that every time. Midscreen he can tag in froma command throw and assisted still do a ton more damage than Nemesis.

The Strange thing, though, while damaging, is much less practical and much less universal.

And this is coming from an extremely bad, day 3 (or was it 4) Shuma.

Had some time off so I decided to whip up a new video. This video shows how my Nemesis can convert better off of his forward throws. If yall have suggestions on how these can be improved please lemme know! :slight_smile:

Eh, it’s easy enough when it’s just a Shuma bnb afterwards. Learning complex combos is also the fun of it.

I’m trying to run a just-for-fun team of Nemesis Sentinel Nova.

I saw in JDog’s combo vid that he gets multiple rockets using drones assist. Is there a consistent way to get the last part of the combo (assuming only Nemesis and Sentinel)?

I feel it could go something like this:
Some combo, into :a1: (Sentinel) + :s:, j. :h:, air :qcf: :s:, Drones begin to hit, air :qcf: :s:, land, cr. :h:, :qcf: :s:, BHR

I can’t seem to link the cr :h: into the ender because I seem to be still a bit high in the air…

Any way to get it consistently?

My second question would ultilize Nova’s B assist to get even more damage. I’m not sure where I could slip in the Nova assist to sqeeze out more damage before the BHR. Any advice??

Ok so so to get the rockets extension in the corner, you need to do whatever bnb you are doing, lets say for example in the corner its…

cL, cM, sH, DP M, sM, S, call Drones assist and THEN super jump, jH, QCF S, QCF S,

Then you can do one of many enders. You can either do cH, QCF S, BHR… you can cH into QCF L, DP H if you haven’t used your wall bounce… you can do cH, QCF S, BWA so you can easily set up for DHC into Sent for double Plasma Storm ar the peak of the ground bounce portion of BWA. Now this last one I dont know if it works cause I cant test it now…but try doing jump back, jS after the last drone juggles, TK QCF S/ call Nova assist, (I think B is ground bounce right? ) Rocket OTGs, Nova assist cause ground bounce, if you already used your wall bounce, you can dash, cH, QCF S. If you still have it, you can do do QCF H after Nova assist hits, cH, QCF S. I think that should work. I do this with Hulk’s Wave OTG assist and that doesn’t even bounce them.

I know its a timing thimg , so I’m gonna look at your combo vid and see how I can get the timing down…

No dont press S and call assist at the same time. First launch and THEN call Drones before you super jump.

After the launcher, I press up and assist, right? I think I’m starting to get a feel for it.

Though, is it possible to get some variant for midscreen?

There are cases where once you land from doing j. :h: :qcf: :s: you can actually do :qcf: :h:, the punch portion of the move will whiff and the rocket portion will connect, and since you recover faster from Closeline Rocket move pretty fast, you have time to connect cr. :h:, :qcf: :s:, but that sorta conditional and I rarely go for it, BUT ITS THERE! :stuck_out_tongue:

Midscreen

Oh, for the Nemesis Cent Rush Extension, if you end a combo with assist call available, you can cr.H then call Nova QCF+S, Nova bounces them, cr.H QCF+S DP+Hyper.

Sorry, I missed most of this, but JDog is kinda the man with Nem/Drones, he covered all of it. When I did that extension messing around in the lab, if the baddie got too high up for me I just awkwardly delayed the cr.H into either QCF+S or QCF+H cr.H QCF+S (if you have wallbounce remaining, and if their hitbox allows you to QCF+H them in the corner, some hitboxes work for it and some do not).

For Co-Jones, Nemesis/Nova/Bolts is a team I messed around with a while back, and I really really like it, if you’re toying around with Nemesis/Nova. Nem/Bolts is mostly a zoning duo with tentacles (though bolts has a ghetto verion of the drones extension, corner only), but can trick people into command grabs if you’re smart, and confirms nearly fullscreen on standing opponents with fH+Bolts, but will not have the ability to open people up like Nova/Bolts, so you’ll probly play the game with heavy space control, then kill/TAC, end up with a Nova/Bolts and a glut of meter, and rush them down like a madman, spend meter like a nut.

For the record, I didn’t really use the team enough to squeeze all the tech out, but I made a video early 2013 of Nemesis/Nova/Strange, forgive the non-optimal Strange and Nova combos, my execution with them was pretty meh back then, but there is totally tech to be stolen.

First off, I still can’t land the Sentinel extension… I’m still doing it too early. When I delay it slightly, I drop the combo.

I’m practicing on getting the up+:a1: since I’m sure that’s what’s happening to get the drones combo.

As for nova, I assume it goes something like cr:l:, cr.:m:, st.:h:, :qcf: :m:, cr.:m:, cr. :h: + :a1:, :qcf: :s:, assist hits, :qcf: :h:, cr. :h:, :qcf: :s:, BHR

I haven’t physically tried it though.

When I played Nemesis/Nova, I was a weirdo and used Cent Rush it to reset my groundbounce after confirming a j.MS at jump height. j.M+Nova j.MH and landing is surprisingly consistent. If you have a second extension assist, my favorite combo if the stars aligned just right was (I used bolts)

Ground Series DP+M, cr.MH S+Bolts j.H Rocket, land, cr.H and QCF+H on opponents it works on, link into cr.H Nova QCF+S cr.H QCF+S BHR.

But, stuff like my combo, and also yours, totally works and looks awesome, and hurts, but it’s all screen specific with Nemmy. To do that Nova extension you have to be near/at the corner.

This specific combo I’m thinking of right now, I don’t know where on screen it works, but I’m assuming it works somewhere midscreenish, I can test later tonight. cr.M st.H DP+M, cr.M cr.H QCF+H if you’re near the corner but not quite at it, and then cr.H and Nova call at the same time, QCF+H, or you can delay the Nova call slightly and do QCF+S instead of Clothesline rocket, then end with cr.H QCF+S BHR and do a ton of damage either way. If I remember Rocket without the clothesline does more damage, because this game is strange. Maybe a QCF+L instead of the first QCF+H would let you start your combo a bit farther from the corner, but I honestly have no clue.

nemmy/sent rocket extension works anywhere on screen! corner is needed for double rockets though!!!
