So IGN Middle East uploaded a few more Rashid videos. Still new people hitting buttons but we see a little more of his V Trigger, alt color and normals:
dunno if this was known but quote of rashid to bison when he wins:
"I win! Now return my friend! That’s all I ask."
nvm: was found lol
Also I don’t know if instead of a dash he’s actually running. Vs Ken it seems like he did 2 dashes but what confuses me is that he runs. As if double tapping forward 2 times would make him run a short distance but not continuously until you release the stick (kinda wish it was haha)
ok so far i’ve seen this character compared to el fuerte, gen, juri, urien, cammy, vegeta, cody, guy, rolento, ibuki, cammy, and seth.
what the fuck is wrong with the internet.
since were just throwing shit out there uhhh fucking jetpack uhhh he’s like hercule.
also he smiles so he’s just like rico suave.
he has dark skin tone fuckin sean clone.
he’s got wind power so he’s just like storm eagle.
Its a bit extreme but I suppose its because the character isn’t the most original. While Rashid does have share some commonalities with some of those characters, its a bit retarded to compare him to Vegeta for the scouter… Cody because WIND… Rolento BECAUSE ROLL…
What kinda bugs me is that since he’s based off of parkour, he’s got more pronounced movements. Which translates to slow movements. I dunno. Need to see more of him but I guess I’ve been spoiled by the likes of Gen and Vega.
Because his animations are all very reminiscent of El Fuerte. His standing fidgety pose is like Fuerte’s, his backflips are like Fuerte, his forward dash is a run, his command jump V-skill is very el fuerte, he has a drop kick, and he emphasizes speed. He wall jumps like Fuerte. He’s got a happy-go-lucky demeanor like El Fuerte.
But that’s it, because he doesn’t look like he actually plays anything like Fuerte. He just moves and looks like him.
He has a fireball and decent looking normals and no command run, so he’s not anything remotely like El Fuerte, gameplay wise. Thank god.
They did have the differing pronunciations for Abel in the Japanese and English versions of SFIV, so it’s very possible. I dunno if it’s likely, but possible.
King and Armor King communicating with growls is what makes them awesome though. And no, in Tag 2 Christie and Eddy have Portuguese voice actors.
Her French VA is good as well.
Using Tekken’s policy of most characters speaking their native language would be cool. Better than this lame ass English Rashid VA we have currently, the dude could at least add an accent to his voice and put some effort in. He just sounds like a generic American…
Being arab american, I completely agree about the awful design… but like he said, it’s Street Fighter. It could be MUCH MUCH worse. So I guess we have to make peace on the fact of his super doesn’t involve bombs. Whatever. I’m sure after SF5 we’ll never see him again. We can put him in a box with El Fuerte, Twelve, Remy, and Necro. He looks to be extremely fun to play with though.
Erm walking on eggshells since people can get oversensitive but, is the stereotype really that far off? In a franchise where everyone is stereotyped like the sumo fighter, the karate dude, the boxer, the schoolgirl, etc…Tekken even went with the same exact design (to my eyes).
I mean it would be worse if they were completely off, like this dude Blizzard made supposedly as a brazilian character:
This guy listen to hip hop for fucks sake. I think he makes Dee Jay look more of a stereotypical brazilian.
I’m not arab but I liked this character’s design (except the “yahoo” crap), not so much his cheerful personality, but so far I’m completely sold on his gameplay.
