His gameplay looks more similar to Juri than anything else to be honest. Dive kick, non conventional fireball, decent footsies, good mix up potential. Even the multi hitting tornado spin although looks different to juri pin wheel, is very similar in that it hits mulitple times but doesnt do that much damage.
Indian? He doesn’t looks Indian at all. He’s either Saudi Arabian or Emarati. Really hope he’s Emarati .
I remember Ken Bogard’s post too, he misspelled his name ‘Rachid’.
I’m sure it mentioned Vega, I just can’t find the list I was looking at. So far it’s been right, and I think it was the list that had Akuma down as a day one DLC or something.
Not even south Indian? Not that I’m an expert or anything. My girlfriend does think that, at best, he looks dressed like an Indian cop from back in the day lol
But nah, “Zen” still sounds like they’re trying to allude to an Indian character more than an African one, so I’m inclined to agree with you.
Wow, his V-Trigger is a lot like Aegys Reflector. I fear for Urien fans XD
Zen could be a new Indian character and they say Laura is Brazilian. I don’t think their intention is to repeat countries, so I guess the final characters in the “green zone” roster could be Balrog and Zangief.
Gief is a classic and they need more than one grappler, specially seeing Mika has a complex gameplay; as for Balrog, people have pointed before, it’s hard to believe a Street Fighter game without a boxer in the roster.
After Necali I was beginning to think all the new characters would suck and then this guy showed up with his tazmanian devil stuff and I can’t wait to see the next character.
It’s not that association though. Ken Bogard tossed the names and countries of the newcomers and the only one left is Zen and India, with Necalli being the boss. The alternative is that Necalli was renamed from Zen and the Indian dude is the new boss, with name unknown.
Imo Necalli doesn’t look like the boss character to me, but he has that “no definite home place” that makes sense for boss characters. I don’t think they’d make the bad guy be clearly from India, dunno.
Thank goodness he ain’t overdrive goofy and cheesy as Fuerte (I mean seriously, that guy makes R.Mika extremely tolerable).
I see a lot of Shaheen comparisons, but unluckily for him Rashid seems to be a much more enjoyable character package no thanks to Tekken 7 still not being released on consoles for months now.
Rashid is a pleasant surprise, I really liked Necalli and I really like this guy, both aestethically and gameplay-wise, loving the newcomers so far, he’s fun and fast, overall a pretty interesting concept and I will definitely be playing with him.
Yeah, you’re right. I think it safe to say that it was definitely their intention for it to be e’ssar but they spelled it wrong, Yssar don’t make sense unless you only can activate his V-trigger in the left side of screen lol xD.
Did you try him out , Soul7? I believe you are at the convention from your comments in the general discussion thread.
I was, but i couldn’t try him out sadly.
The place was packed as fuck. As much as i wanted to try him out, my social anxiety started growing so… had to leave.
I did meet Ono-san and witness the reveal tho, that was pretty dope. ^^"
