Is that right? And what about all the data and discussiong people love to use to help their game in these very forums here? Theory? Damn right it is. Talking theory in excess is stupid yes, but theory is the very backbone of making gameplay advancements. When you are in between matches and you say “hey, maybe if I try this against that move next time” you are using the Scientific Method to make a theory on how you can best overcome a problem area in the game.
The next thing is I have NO idea why you are lumping me in with another bunch of people. Anytime I went to GU I did nothing but play Rob Stevens except for that one time I got into what I believed was a very formal discussion with Defcon and Kurai about the differences between a number of games and which ones I preffered, and even while I did so I was interchangably jumping on board and playing matches with people. Maybe the information got to you backwards or something, but I definately don’t just sit around and talk theory. That’s a bunch of bullshit, especially considering I played tons of matches with you and did well.
I can’t speak for Zoob, but all I ever recall him doing was expressing a dislike for the game earlier on and seeing people jump him for it like it a blasphemous thing to do. And he even did that online. Granted I wasn’t at GU every week, (and I never travelled there with zoob) so he might of had isolated incidents I missed, so if that’s the case whatever.
I don’t have any beef with anyone especially you, but Im extremely surprised that you just mentioned me to say the least, and more dumbfounded that you omitted one other name EVERYONE can agree on. If you really feel that way about me and what I bring to the game, Ill be happy to play you anytime.
Did you get any better after playing Rob Stevens? Probably not, end of discussion.

No one is feeling heated about anything, I just don’t understand what you are getting at by trying to mention me like that when you know for a fact I play and I put effort into it. Just admit you and Tom put your feet in your respective mouths and spoke something that was either half true or untrue and we can move on. Come to think of it, I don’t think I ever once mentioned anything to you regarding my opinions of the game or anything regarding theory.

PS: I do mostly agree with the guys listed above. I am not trying to be elitist or anything like that but here are my thoughts on the matter. Pancho even though you didnt attack anyone you definitely did not do anything to help the situation. (you can tell by the amount of posts received after you posted). In my honest opinion i felt that to get better you have to play guys like cp, tom, dan, gabe, chris, weaksauce, wall, will, tony b, josh, Magno, Jerry, etc… These guys have consistently done well in tournament situation and they actually have a great deal of information about matchups and what to do. Dont be afraid to ask these guys to step up your game. They play the most (tournament wise) and they really help the community grow. Thats just my opinion but i honestly got better because of these guys and thats basically the only reason why I do well. Just like how springfield (all of you guys including blue 9) got me better in guilty gear even though i hate the game with a passion. I even tried to help dagger but dagger you do some theory fighter as well which doesnt work. Im here for you guys. Let me know what I can do to make you better because if you get better i get better and the community gets better.
you may want to shut the fuck up. seeing as how gabe and i tore up a chunk of top players from the west coast at Evo and we give NY a run for their money CONSISTENTLY, and not to mention me placing top 5 at NEC (beating i-cant-even-name-how-many-good-players, including someone FLOWN IN FROM PUERTO RICO BECAUSE HE’S THAT GOOD), i dunno what you’re talking about certain top MA players being “free for NY and CA”.
