You should post on tekkenzaibatsu so people know on there also.

Alright well since no one’s mentioned rides for the Springfield crew it looks like I’ll be driving up. I have room for about 4 in my car, 3 really since kona will most likely be with me. If you’d like a ride post here and if you can try to meet in one or two areas so we’re not wasting time driving around MA picking people up when we should be playing lol.

I’m gonna be there late tommorow

Btw, anyone know where i can buy a new good TE stick for PS3?

Or you could dual mod your 360 TE. It’d be a lot cheaper.

Sup everyone, my names Andy, and I was introduced to this thread by Pancho. I was working at gamestop when he told me about the scene you guys got here with competitive fighting games and im very interested in getting to know you and playing some sf4 with you all soon.

Who could do it? I don’t wanna go through using cards to buy stuff online and all that stuff. (But I would pay other people to do all that for me)

Hi Andy, I’m Cecil, go by Wednesday.

If you read the first post, pretty much all the info is there. But basically:
Meet up at BattleGrounds LAN Center (Battlegroundsonline.com) for “fight nights” (self-explanitory). Casuals get down, then (and I am speaking unofficially here), $1-2 player-run mini-tournaments. Lots of fun, when people aren’t dishing out crazy cash as entry people are inspired to play characters they like and do the best with them, rather than just best-known-top-tier strat/char, ya know?

But yeah, nice to meet you, come down any Friday for this “meeting” and I’m sure you’ll have fun :p.

Gonzales could do it. I think he has you buy the parts but he does the rest. Talk to him.

Have fun everyone, I enjoyed my times with you guys, and I wish you all the best of luck in pursuing your SF goals, whatever they may be.

Don’t quit, just learn to be humble and continue playing the game.

Thanks for the Welcome Cecil, i don’t have any transportation, but Ive heard that theres carpooling, how much do i need to lay down for gas money ( i live right next to the HolyokeMall). Im also interested in a daul-modded fightstick if anyone can do that for me, id be more than happy to give you my money.

Good games to everyone I played tonight, had a lot of fun and learned a little bit too. Thanks also to a few people who gave me some pointers and shit for Abel, I’m sorry I didn’t catch your names but I’m sure you know who you are.

Wednesday, stop with the sob story. Either just get it over with and quit, or man up and keep at it. We don’t need to know what you’re gonna do, just do it.

Hey Andy! What’s good?

There are several people you can talk to in regards to getting your stick modded, obviously you will have to purchase some kind of base stick at first, and once that step is completed than you can look into acquiring the superior parts in question and asking one of our stick guys to install them for you.

As for getting you car pool’d, I would really like to introduce you to the guys so that you can get to know the springfield crew. After that, as long as there is space in whatever vehicle we are using Im sure it would be okay for you to tag along. Stay tuned to this thread, we might be gathering soon.

Alright, here is the deal. You really have to decide what you are playing this game for. Are you doing it for attention? Or are you doing it to actually win? I want you to think about that very carefully, because while you might think you know the answer to that on a superficial level, the reality is that there are tons of players who go about trying to “go pro” at something for all the wrong reasons, not limited to fulfilling something else in their lives that isn’t even related to the playing the game of street fighter (or any game). I am NOT saying that this is YOU, as I am not the type to pass a judgement. That is for you to answer. What I am saying is that you need to do some do some internal soul searching and figure out what you are really thinking and feeling, and then move forward playing with a fresh mind and a reinvigorated resolve.

Trust me man, I have been down that road. Treating fighting game forums - especially SRK - like a diary isn’t going to solve your problems. No one is going to try and pat you on the back and be willing to give you answers or concede to you that you should have done better than you did, as you seem to believe. Worse still, you might develop people who find you unlikable. The only thing that works is to try and find your reasons for fighting, and correct them if they are erroneous. Remember why you REALLY enjoy playing the game, and use that as your basic motivation for moving forward and overcoming failure.

I am NOT attempting to be a dick here, and I can only hope you understand that. I am trying to do what very few people will take even a few minutes to do, and that is respond to your pleas for attention and try and steer you in the right direction. From here on out it is all you. Only you have the answers to your questions, because that is all I see in your last few posts. I see questions in the forms of statements and phrases almost like self directed jeopardy problems. No one here can answer your questions or even help you answer them. Again: ONLY YOU CAN.

Im telling you this in hopes that you really won’t quit. That’s never the answer. Your only conceding that there is something you CAN’T DO. And that is not what this community needs. We need more players, players who understand what their goal is AS players and are constantly pushing the boundaries of what even they themselves think they are capable of.

Do yourself a favor and push onward. There are some pretty decent players in that growing little family of ours in BG, and BG itself is so near you. Harness that resource, don’t waste it. I didn’t see you there this week, hopefully you will decide not to give up on yourself and come back next week.

I agree with Pancho. I’d say the only grounds for quitting a game is if the game isn’t fun anymore. If you enjoy the game, you should keep playing. But if it’s not your intention to play at a competitive level, that’s you’re decision too. Just don’t quit for no reason.

on a better note how would you guys feel about ranking battles every week we will have a 1 $ singles tourney and you get rank points for the end of the month in which we will have a $5 tourney.
