I don’t know who decided to inform 1/2 the brawl players at state and not tell the ppl who play in the place where they host it about this tourney, we were playing down at the wolves den our big gaming area, and blam tourny ppl wtf, like 40 of them, and I was like sweet I hope I run into a good Mk, 2 problems 1 nobody mained MK seriously wtf >_>(2 ppl put them out in an effort to beat me after they lost the first though), problem 2 , there was only 1 good person I didn’t know (the tourney host), everyone else was okay or fail or they were part of our crew and weirdly the other ppl turtled even more than us seriously Pit versus Diddy f-ing 9:37seconds on a 3 stock match(the tourny host was swearing up a storm over this) in a 2/3 wins needed made us actually turn time on. However not to our surprise every tourny held down there was dominated by the wolves den crew aka won money, including Rockband 2(2/4), Halo2-3(4/4 each game so 8/8 total ),and Brawl (4/4).
We just f-ed around in it cause we didn’t pay an entry fee( and thought no prize lol lets be dumb), I went though the whole tourny until the semi-finals as random, and 3-2stocking a bunch of scrubs seriously, the ppl I fought sucked, my friends had harder games. We found out the final 4 got $10 gift certificates to Best Buy and a color changing cup or something. Eventually the clear results were 1st me, 2nd the girl in the group, 3rd my roommate,4th one of our friends,5th tourny host,6th this crazy mario main friend of ours.), considering 1/3 of these ppl were the same ppl who raeped us in melee, Im pretty happy but darn it, I want to play ppl that can beat me outside of 3 of my friend aka the 2nd-3rd place and another guy who wasn’t here :(. *grrrrrr
Unfortunatly no vids cause, it was a suprise for us and we didn’t feel like running back and setting up all the recording equpt on one of the wii’s.
The rules were lax, 3stock,2/3 wins the match, double elimination,no items, any character any stage(both players agree) aka we just sat on smashville, yoshi’s island, FD and sometimes Battlefield, saw a 75m though wtf(that stage is hilarious but matches take way to long on it), he said next time he is having a melee tourny and if not enough ppl show up for that he will proably host a keits ruleset (he was really mad about the 1 other group of like 5 ppl taking full time on every damn match and always going to the third match). seriously total damage given 800% damage taken 763% pit had this, I mean WHAT?!?, Im used to like 300-450% average given or taken, and I have seen plenty under 150% from gimps all 3 lifes.
Poor 2nd place though, in the first round they lost to my roommate and were in losers bracket and fought practically every good-decent player in the tournment and had to go though about 8-10 rounds, and came back to beat my roommate in the final round of the losers bracket, after I beat him in the finals of the winners.
The best part was when we found out we actually won stuff we are all wait srsly :looney:, even though its only like $10 which is nothing but heck it payed for our year membership to the wovles den and their huge supply of games,
