dash-in, f+HP. Connects with most people at least two repetitions. No counter time, if the first hits.

c.hp, HP Sienbu (OTG), POW!

c.hp, OTG assist, dash-in, c.hk, air combo. Timing’s hard, but it hurts.

for extra damage (zaza told me this) for a big dildo combo is adding s. fk after a s. fp. the easiest is s. lk, s. fp, s. fk, seitenrengeki (i’ma call it a dragon punch), dildo slam.

for AC’s, i could never do an air combo into the dragon punch and then a dildo slam. instead, i launch, sj. lp, sj. lk, wait until opponent’s a lil bit above me, s. mk, dildo slam. it works, but it’s not as powerful as the ground combo. whenever i accidentally launch opponent, i do this. sometimes, the opponent falls right next to you, so you can OTG when you land. i never got the timing down though…

No luck getting the air combo into the Seitenrengeki-Slam for me. It might be possible… you’d have to use an LP Dragon punch, and time it really, really well.

There are good things about her air combo, though… if you use the HP after a full air combo, there have been times where I’ve been able to re-launch right after I land… not as a combo, but a dirty trick. It’s mostly useful against mid-speed opponents.

Fun new thing I discovered today, but people already probably knew… Sonson can call an assist on the recovery of her Nyoi-bo slam. Meaning, you can knock them into the air with a Seitenrengeki, Slam, then call an assist ASAP. The assist will come out as she starts to fall… and if it’s the right kind, OTG. I need to experiment with this more, but it’s nifty.

with sonson i like to use thanos because its so much fun.

example combo:
1.] thanos assist(capture type), roundhouse throw(capture hits) d.s short> fierce seiten rengeki xx tenchii tsuukan xx

if you want to delay the assist after the slam, you can air dash (for maybe a lil mind trick). for instance, air dash over your opponent and call an assist. hey, it might work.

Yes, you definitely can, FOBio. Actually, a fun thing to do… If you punish an assist by catching them in a Seiten-Slam, directly over the main character (say… Cable), then you can call an assist, air dash over his head, and hit him with a combo. Both will hit at the same time… meaning, he probably won’t block right.

Since I use Tron… this pisses people off. Honestly, the two don’t work too well together in a lot of situations… at least with Sonson on point. But in other situations, they’re killer. I hate to admit it… but Tron’s the only reason I can deal with Sentinel. I can kinda manage it with Sonson… but you have to be really, really good to beat a good Sent…

So… We have Thanos on assist. Any other good assists for Sonson?

if you hadn’t noticed before, my team is doom/marrow/sonson. right now, i’m trying to work with doom’s photon shot assist (variety). though rocks is his obvious choice for him, zaza suggest this one. i don’t really know how to effectively use this assist, but it’s good for some coverage (faster than rocks). i’d think sent’s proj. is sonson’s best assist. it’s hard hitting, something she needs. i haven’t tried it out, but what if you connect the assist in a combo, then dragon punch xx slam? the punch makes the opponent bounce which throws me off, so i don’t know if this works. what do you think, tron jon?

Hmm. Well, one of the things that I like about the DP xx Slam is that, even if you don’t connect the straight vertical starter for the super, you hit them anyway, since they don’t recover fast enough. The Seitenrengeki can even OTG… I’ve never had a problem hitting with it.

Sonson loves hard hitting assists… She also loves assists that make her hard to hit. As evasive as she is, she’s still a low defense character. She can dish out the damage, but it’s nice to have a little (or a lot) of help.

I think you can connect the dragon punch off of Sentinel or Doom(spread) at the right angles. Sentinel’s Drone assist (ground) is a no-brainer… almost anyone can connect anything off it. Dash-in, punish. The rocket punch should also be comboable… But I don’t have a real good feel for the stun off of it… you’d probably do well to experiment. If you start the Seitenrengeki immediately after it hits, you should easily be able to combo… provided you’re close enough. As long as you connect with one hit of the Dragon Punch, the Slam is free.

Are these combos worth learning? I mean, not to dis you, but it’s been sometime

Just stick to one or two combos ending in a super…then DHC to get her out. The BnB I usually do is launcher, sj. lp, sj. lk, sj. mk, staff super. You have to delay the normals before the super, but I can do it very consistently. Her other BnB is better, but can’t do it as well. It’s c. lk, st. fp, st. fk, shoryuken, staff super.
