Okay I’m not sure what’s going on but lately I have been running up against a lot of people that tend to lag A LOT when they are about to die or when they match is close. Like I faced a few where where near the end of match 1 some crazy lag spike happens and it mysteriously disappears after the match is over. Are the people I was up against turning on their bit torrents or something?
PSN is just assing out, completely the passed 2 days.

Everyone I’ve ran into lately, even with 4/5 bars I’ve had laggy matches with the passed 2 days. Even people I normally play on my list. PSN suckssss
edit: There are some pathetic players who really do lag your combos with torrents or whatever they do. They tend to be Gief players, too.
The one’s I faced were gief, blanka and ken =/, with more kens than the other 2.
Same stuff has been happening when I play.
Yep, I often wonder is this lag actually intentional ?..
I am beginning to get sick of SF4, lost GP, More Laggy matches than ever, Patches that need patching… Bah, the list goes on… !
oh wow, I was about to post a topic about this same thing, on how the past week has seemed very laggy to me.
I’m not an amazing player by any means, but I wasn’t sure if I was just me really starting to notice the difference between offline and online or it was the network. I haven’t lost any points, but it really seemed like I haven’t been able to pull off any special moves, or really moving around the screen as easily as I used to.
I don’t know, but it’s coming to a point where I’m just playing single player more because online just seems too laggy.
I’ve also noticed that I started noticing these issues right when the new firmware came out. I don’t know if that’s a coincidence or not.
funny thing is I played another ryu player today and it started lagging after I landed a FA on him and then during the last round the entire match lagged =/. I ended up losing cause I messed up the lp. srk -> ultra (it was that laggy). The guy then sends me a pm saying you need more practice o.0.
I had never had this happen to me until yesterday. I was playing a scrub Ken, and I perfected him the first round. second round starts and I Can’t Move…at all. So he perfects me. 3rd round starts I can barely move, and don’t even think about doing any moves, so I lose because of lag. So rather than keep playing, I decide to find a different person to fight. 10 seconds later, I get a message saying I need to practice…dude. I know i’m not good, but Thats some BS. I’s happened twice to me, I guess it could be worse, but I HATE getting that message with people running their mouths when they win from lag…
ive played people when the first two rounds are lag free and when it gets down to the wire it starts to lag. and lo and behold my oppotent starts doing cheesy shit?..meh, i just chalk it up and never play that person again.
