So far I think I played every operator but the German defenders, Capitão, Frost, Mira, Ela, Doc and Montagne. I know Bandit, Jäger, Mira, Ela and Doc are good to extremely good picks but I didn’t try them because I feel I don’t get how to use their gadgets effectively. Anyone can provide a basic insight on them and how you play them? I only know that Ela is a roamer and that Bandit/Jäger like to fuck around the map as well.
Ela is all rounded due to traps, but mainly roaming (not much of a reason to keep 3-speed users at obj). I’d imagine that placing 1-2 gadgets at objective entries is mandatory, while you use at least 1 for roaming or even near-entry spawn kill purposes. In the theme park stage for example, there is a one-line entry lane to 2f (has a ramp, “not” the one that puts you right at the mid-train area) that is perfect to deploy it, and you can just rush outside once it detonates and get 1 or more people at the very least.
Bandit Jager self-explanatory, mainly roamers. Jager is relatively easy, put some gadgets at sites where an enemy can’t initially see (while being close to the entry point) where grenades/smokes (or Fuze’s cluster charges, but he’s not as strong of a pick in most cases) and play the basic game from there. Bandit, however, has a few roles. In some maps where the objective is upstairs, you can deploy barbed wire + electric charge at the peak of upper stairways so drones can get destroyed. Bandit also plays a role in electrocuting Thermite/Hibana charges from “outside” infiltrators (garages usually), which may require listening/Mira’s gadget to react and deploy the gadget upon their breach placement (to prevent Thatcher from destroying the gadget preemptively)… in some cases, you can go autopilot and just spend a bit of time putting charge on one side, removing it, placing it to “another” side, removing it, and repeat.
Capitao is supposedly underwhelming to some people due to his weapon, but he’s decent. For one, with the buff in smoke effects, it incredibly makes his gadget a lot strong for that purpose. Him + Glaz (maybe mandatory Thermite/Hibana + Thatcher) for outside infiltration is really strong, since you can lock out some regions of entry from the Flame ammo gadget, and cover the user planting the defuser from sights by the smoke gadget. The character is a 3-speed also, so can make out to be a good rusher.
Frost is debatable for use, but can work. Can work okay in some cases with Bandit to electrify shield/barbed wire next to her trap for instant kill… or can also work with Cav for interrogation via communication. What I usually like to do for aligning the shield setup is to do a 1/4 second quick barricade on the door → quick release (you don’t put the barricade, instead you just align yourself), and move up slightly and plant the shield (and of course, the trap just behind it). Counters mindless roaming, and can also theoretically be used to cover your back from a good spot in defense (example, curvy stairways such as Skyscraper… the one where you can peak the outside from the bottom door while being at the stairs):

Mira’s gadget can assist Bandit’s line of sight for gadget placements, and her gadget can be used for peak advantages that the opponent don’t have (as well as nitro charge detonation advantages)… but the team needs to know the setup (fortify one side of the wall, but leaving the one just on the side NOT fortified… helps to have a Jager cover special breach projectiles). Also, you cannot deploy a Mira gadget on a fortified wall from the back end (if someone fortified the wall AT THE HALLWAY, but you wanted to deploy the gadget AT THE FREEZER, it will not deploy at all since it only deploys on the side of the wall that it was fortified.)
Doc imo is meh, great for being one of the few users with an ACOG (at high light it might not make a difference), and… well can heal users who are hurt.

What attachments do you use on the new operators’ guns? People said Dok/Vigil’s shotgun is OP but I find the SMG more effective and easier to use in most cases.
Also I got the Buck keychain. Man the Canadian weapons suck ass
