so…how often do you guys use Blood Kain? Me? Rarely.

Good? Bad?

I mostly save my heat for quick anti-burst RCs, anti-burst combos into super, and counter assaults. I kinda wish Blood Kain was a bit more used in my gameplay though.

Im trying to land 6C launch, Blood Kain, sj.d, (fall), j.d, etc. But I keep messing up the 2nd j.d any pointers?

Btw Im testing this combo on Ragna.

You pretty much have to combo into Blood Kain or you’re going to lose 30% health from the tick. Also, most people will know that after you pop Blood Kain outside of a combo that you’re going to use your drive a lot and will punish you for it.

Its pretty tough to use unless you have the other person in a corner. Sometimes I’ll put enough pressure to guard break, and that leaves them open for the Blood Kain beatdown :P. I’ve gotten some beastly damage + Life steal with Blood Kain into Devoured by Shadows. Push em into the corner, 6C, Blood Kain, 5D, dash slightly, 5D, devoured by shadows. Its the only combo I can really use Blood Kain in, but then again I’ve had the game for a week so what do I know. :stuck_out_tongue:

When I get to combo into it, or when I have 1% left and the other guy got 50% more, might as well.

Rarely I use BK’s start up to avoid attacks and counter, but it’s not easy…

Love BK, huge risk reward move.

It is tough, but its funny when you use it to avoid an attack and you use Devoured by Shadows or Carnage Scissors immediately after the invuln.

The 2nd j.d doesn’t come out or it doesn’t hit? If you do the first sj.d fast enough the 2nd one should hit.

Ehh… I think that if you’re losing a fight that badly and you use Blood Kain, match is over. There is chip damage in this game and I can tell you if the thing to go for against Ragna with no life. People Look at me like i’m stupid when I RC a 5D into a 5D for the kill.

I can’t really go with usin’ Blood Kain…ever. Like, even in combo, i’m saving that for RC Block burst to finisher. Everyone usually uses Barrier against Rawrganar so its not to hard to time that RC.

Why in the guide is there a Hell Fang for B and C?

I’ve noticed that I sometimes have problems pulling off one specific combo (I think I mess up the final normal input, but It doesn’t feel like it):

5b, 5c, 623+c, 236+c, 236+c (delayed, aimed mid-torso), 6a (Jump), 5c, 5d (Jump), 5c, 5d (Opponent recovers before this one hits), 623+d, 236+c, 214+c.

Anyone else having problems doing this? It seems to work randomly most of the time (training mode). I believe there’s some footage of this particular string by kaqn.

For the record, I can do the classic 6a (Jump), 5c, 5d (Jump)… etc, etc.

PD. Hope I didn’t mess up the numbering, as I’m not used to it.

Doesnt come out fast enough. I think i need to hit the first one as early as possible after a I run and super jump.

Ragna is too good.

If I learn to do a lot of these combos, I’ll post them on Youtube after I record them being done in training mode (so one can see when the motions are done).

Hi, I just started playing this game a couple days ago and I’m pretty noob. I’m looking for some people to play in “Player Matches” help get some achievements, train each other and stuff.

I play Ragna a lot, and he looks pretty beast. I just need to learn how to pull off the combo’s and such which is difficult with the hand work haha but yeah.

My GT is TW Legz, I’ll probably be changing it soon to my username here.

I also live in NYC and near Chinatown Fair, to anyone who is interested.

dont know if it was already posted but u can combo into his astralthingy from 3C, since normal cancels into astralmoves arent possible u have to superjumpcancel that shit.
for example :
(dashup for momentum),2B,3C,21412369C

the other setup with the 6C was already posted
6D,D(airbone),5B,2B,5C,6C(2), dash, 2141236C

and here is something else, a combo after a 22C throw, instead for the normal high/low/throw mixup after a 22C otg-throw u can try this out :
2B,3C,22C,(small dashup),5A,5B,6A, j.C, j.D, dj.D, 623D, 236C, 214C

not that sure about the dmg but afaik its the maximum that you can squeeze out of a 22C throw. but beware that 5A,5B,6A,etc stuff wont work in longer combos as the hitstun decreases and leaves you not enough time for the dashup 5A which is already tight enough in shorter combos.

I’ve been playing Ragna for a short bit and I need a little help on the range of certain combos.

I’ve seen a solid string to air combo out of: I.D© to completion with 236C then as they fall out the air 5B, 6A, (IN AIR) D, C, (JUMP) D,C I.D(D.

My problem is connecting with the 5B link all the time. I know the combo is mid-screen only, but there are times when they’re only a little bit out of range; can I dash into the standing B or would that throw off the momentum of the combo and make it impossible?

I also have a question regarding a combo.
For the the Hell Fang RC Dash 6D J.D Dash 5B 3C 22C
My problem is after the J.D what is the timing on that dash cause i Can never get it.

As far as I know, you don’t have to dash after the J.D

You sure? Everytime I try it without attempting a dash 3C would either whiff or I would be out of range for the 22C.

I can never do that combo myself.

I mean, I don’t know, I haven’t tried it on every character try it on Jin
