Ok u guys thats goin too far. I don’t mind when u guys flame each other but I can’t condone bullying. Stefan never tells anyone to stay out of an event and always invites people. If u show up then u play, but if u don’t show up Stefan does not rub it in and push u farther away. I have not been on the scene for as long as u guys but I know a good player when I see one and Stefan is a good player as well as a fair person. Digimon Emperor, U may have gotten hate mail about Stefan but I can vouch that when a neutral party is concerned, Stefan is a good tournament holder that does tournaments according to the book. Things run smoothly and are only delayed when he has a match.
I don’t think that anyone is bullying Stefan. Stefan brought this on himself. It seems like he trys to control all the tournaments so that they favor him and his favorites. If 8 people have made complaints there obviously is an issue. It is nice that he holds gatherings and holds tournaments, but his brackets are not fair for everyone. What is wrong with someone else running Raging Storm? The brackets will be random and more fair to everyone involved. The only people who are afraid of the brackets being random are those who really can’t play at all. Just look at the results after Raging Storm. I am sure that those who are normally on the top won’t be.

The stuff going on in this thread is pathetic. Infractions will be passed out if it continues,** from any of you**. If you have an issue with someone, discuss it via PM or in the regional thread. Doing this in a tournament thread makes NO ONE want to come to a drama filled mess. By trying to sabotage eachother, you sabotage your entire state.

so after all this hubbub about TO’s and who’s always wanted to be one, but has been kept down by The Shogun no one has offered to help… if you’re going to run a guy off then please take the extra step to help the tourney out and fill the void that you have now created.
EDIT:Need feedback if you want me to try to get a couple Candy cabs for the Neo geo games in the tourney.

Alright so today I’m going to try and finalize the venue for the RS: MN tourney. Just a couple of points/questions/etc:
- Since Stefan is going to be out of town, DG (possibly) and I (definitely) are going to need to be housed for the weekend of the tourney. We can get there as early as Thursday, if requested. Pending on who houses us and where, will depend on which NEW venue I select for the tourney (lol we do have to be able to GET to the venue afterall).
So is anyone in the Bloomington, MN area?
Anyone in the St. Louis Park, MN area (lookin at BIG MIKE!! 
) ?
- Since neither one of us will have a car, we’ll probably need a ride too. And like everywhere. I’m sure we can cover gas money for the weekend, if requested. So probably whoever houses us…please keep that in mind.

- WE NEED YOU GUYS TO BRING FULL SET UPS FOR THE GAMES YOU WANT TO PLAY!!!
I can’t stress this enough. Since DG and I are traveling, we can only bring so much (we’ll have console and games brought). The strength in a tourney’s success is from the support of it’s local player…FIRST! Let’s all remember this. :tup:

My brother (!zzy) and I will be bringing a Wii/TvC and PS3/SF4 and T6 set-up. (Need to confirm a T.V to bring, though.)
I am willing to help out anyway I can for tourney, so let me know. I can also bring setups if needed. I have a ps3 and a Wii. My girlfriend said she is willing to help out with registration too since she’s been to many gatherings and tourneys to keep her occupied. Just let me know what I can help out with in the tournaments and I’m there.

I could run one of the tournaments if needed. How are they being run, on a laptop or on paper? What about placing players in the brackets, how is that going to be done? Drawing random numbers out of a hat can work for bracket placement, the only danger with that is having too many players bunched into one spot on a bracket so a player gets a bye or byes. I supppose a way to do it is to have the number that someone draws determine the order (top to bottom) where they appear on the bracket, rather then an exact position on the bracket. this should ensure that players only get one bye at a maximum.
Whomever is nailing down the venue, try to update the first post on the thread with the location and the time(s). Once that is nailed down, word can be spread to other midwest folks that may not know that this is going down.

Use tonamento, with true seeding by skill or region, takes the guess work out of everything. This shouldn’t even be an issue anymore. Unless you have no internet access at the venue, there is no reason not to use this system. It gaurantees accurate, unbiased brackets that the public can monitor in real time, anytime.
FYI, there are quite a few people in MN who are against seeding. Just letting yall know beforehand :china:
Even though he said it will be seeded, then I think it will be sorted out by where we live (which is pretty close to each other), then he will random it out. Plus half of the games there will probably be no seeding because they are new or just new to Minnesota. No objections here. :china:
