I appreciate it everyone but I am an individual and I can speak for myself. Webster is my employee and I trust his judgment. I have faith that Webster is doing his best for the community and he is working diligently with others to assure this is a good event.
I would certainly not consider this a waste of my time… Plus in addition to this the schedule is NOT final…as Webster has stated there will be more SNK games added to the list…

Will be attending this with Gohper and maybe a few others. Excited. Kind of curious how that many events are going to be squeezed into one day. Would not be against a multiple day tournament. In any case, looking forward to competing against you all again.
I’m fully intending to run both HDR and Garou pretty much no matter what. Besides SF4, those two are my personal highest priorities (for running, not for playing necessarily).
For once, Erik, I agree with you (OMGWTFBBQ!!111). I’m pushing to make sure that KoF and the other SNK games happen. Granted, we may not be able to get to every single game on the list, but I know I’m in favor of keeping to the spirit of the Raging Storm, even if it means that we miss out of some of the regular MNSF games.
What many of you are missing out on is the fact that this event must pay for itself above all. If it cannot pay for itself then it is not economically feasible. Thus in lieu of this we are trying to find a good balance in regards to giving you all what you want and making this economically feasible. How it stands right now after looking at the overhead I may not even be present at the event. Thus this is something we are looking at correcting, the venue costs for the current location are sky high and we are looking into other options right now to balance making sure the event pays for itself and doing more than a one day event. If we were to do an event that is more than one day at this particular venue, the overhead would easily exceed $1000. Is this something **realistically **you all think can be made at this tournament???
I’m speaking seriously we cannot be guessing, wondering, or playing, this is business, thus things are not going as fast/smooth as many of you had wanted, we have to be sure things are going to pan themselves out in the end or it simply isn’t economically feasible. that’s a hell of a lot more then we had the memphis room at the same hotel over the last few years. you could probably get the memphis room for two days at a cheaper rate and do Smash and a few other games on one day and SF4 and the rest on the second day or vice versa.
DG Check with the Kelly inn i’ve used this venue twice for gaming events as well.

Well it started off the Memphis room, then based off the figures I got that that wouldnt be enough to house we had to upgrade to the Itasca room, but I’m sorry but $600 for one day isn’t gonna cut it esp if you all want two days. So I am going to look back into the Memphis room and even if we pack it out to the brim (Which even then you all know how that goes, out of everyone that says they are going to come you have to factor in at least 20-30% ARE NOT going to come) that is fine. I would hope that we do decide and the dates we finalize due to all of this makes everything easier. But now hopefully you all see the dilemma with what is taking so long to finalize everything, once again everything has to pay for itself or it simply isn’t worth doing at this time and could be postponed to a later date. Now I will do my part to check into the Memphis Room alone and the Kelly Inn and I will inform you all as I am now so you all can understand from both the player AND the business perspective why things are how they are at the current point.
Hmm…I hope this all goes good. Because I have always been a variety type of guy that plays all sorts of games. Heck, I might be spending my paycheck on the whole tournament. 
I would love to see the SNK games to be played in a tournament. :lovin:

You might as well do Garou if it will be the only SNK game. I’m probably the only one so far that has 2k2 UM. If you want another SNK fighter selection, you might wanna hit up one of the KOF’s either XI, XII, or 98UM sadly…

Is Twinkle Star Sprites still going to be at the tournament?
digimonemporer should hopefully have the official game list posted soon, but it’s looking like yes, there will be a Twinkle Star Sprites tournament.
Garou, KoF98, Magical Drop, 3s, TvC, T6BR, and GGAC sound good to me. This may be one of the only times I get to go against people from out of the state. SF4, KoF11, and MB:AA just for the heck of it.
Hopefully whoever it is that brings Typing of the Dead to all these tournaments does so again this time. I friggin love that game!!
Tournament organizers/Ravepulse: I am willing to bring my 360 with games (SF4, BB, KOFXII), TWO sticks and monitor (lag free) to contribute to casuals and/or tournament. Just thought it might help comfort 360 users afraid they won’t be able to use their own sticks/controllers.

Basically, I think the top SNK games being played here are Garou, KoF XII, and 98 UM. Some people favor the original 98, but’s that too retro for me. I’ve played it when it was 1998. Same with Garou. They are popular here, but I try to keep up with the times, plus I like the advanced ultimate systems and the huge variety of characters ( Krauser, Geese, Eiji, etc.). These should definitely be on top of the SNK roster. I would also like a shot at TSS.
I’ll still have to wait for Raging Storm So Cal seeing as that’s where I live.
And I swear to everything that is holy there better be a KOF XI tournament… PLEASE…
