Yeah, I had some serious router issues going on the other day (Was testing linking two routers, one as a wireless bridge) because my PS3s wireless sucks. For the heck of it I put my 360 on it to test, and ended up getting like 7-8 disconnects while I worked it out. I checked in here to see if someone thought I RQ on them heh. Though I think most of the disconnects were in the middle of like the first round.
i fought a guy on xbox live the other night gt: Immature Gamer (how fitting). played rog, we had a pretty decent match till the end of the 3rd round, he burned all his ex and wasted his ultra and i guess i got under his skin having him in the corner with full meters cause he pulled the plug. i checked his gt and it showed him as being at the dashboard… the punk came back for another match 10 minutes later
I need to get this exchange I had onto the blog. I didn’t notice the settings some guy had set for a match before I joined his lobby. I left after I saw it was 5 rounds, 30 seconds. That pissed him off. I’ll try and send it in tonight.
Megaman DS quit on me last night, gamertag “SRK Megaman DS”. He was playing Sagat in championship mode. He quit at the beginning of the second round, after I had locked him down in the corner on the first with Boxer. I don’t remember beating him that bad, but I expected more from an SRK member. Maybe he was having joystick problems?
How do you know it was deliberate???
I had FOUR matches last night randomly disconnect on me (player matches), I am pretty sure that none of them were deliberate. They were evenly matched, fun matches and there was no reason for either player to try and drop.
Not every DC is a quit.
Then why assume any match is a ragequit? We don’t know these people who are disconnecting, and why. If we want to give the benefit of the doubt, let’s give it to everyone. I soundly beat him in the first round, with no lag, and he mysteriously quit on me. He’s on the forum, he can answer for it, but until then it looks like he quit on purpose.
As a general rule, I don’t make that assumption.
The only times I will do so, is when ALL signs point to it: Character stands still with no lag, then it drops. Or the guy rages on the mic and TELLS you he is quitting. Or you get a message after the match full of rage.
You won’t find any posts from me saying “so and so quit” unless there were VERY clear signs that the DC was a quit, and even then, its a PROBABLE quit, not certainty.
Ok so lemme make sure on this. At what point can you “drop” from a game and not mess up the results of the match? I’m assuming after the win pose it’s cool to sign out or power off the game? Last night after a match I was ready to just turn the power off instead of waiting to see Bison’s win pose after I lost to him spamming stopms on me again.
People in general just need to calm down about the whole dropping thing. People are human beings and human beings do things. Ranking doesn’t do anything for you other than show you how much time you had to waste instead of enjoying something that involved fresh air or at least going out to a real tournament/get together. Play online because you can and that’s it. There are things more important than getting distraught over someone taking your nerd win away from you over the internet.
Storymode AI: I was playing against Nemesys_Syndrome last night and that damn bugger ragequitted on me as soon as the first round started in very easy mode. I was using Seth as I always use and he just went and turned off his machine.
Darn him!!
I sent a picture to the email. A sagat player rage quitted on me while I playing as Dan as always in championship. His name was makuro2000 lol.
illou plays Sagat on XBL. illou doesn’t like being thrown about the place/can’t tech for shit. illou sent me a message saying “grab alone” after ragequitting in the first round.
Excuse the poor quality pic (again)

ROFL!! Good shit Terrance. You should’ve posted this in the PSN Bad Games Thread with IMG tags. Put dude on display.
To be brutally honest, even if ALL signs point to a ragequit, it could STILL be a genuine disconnection! It’s not like you can control when system disconnects you right ?
I was in G2 playing semis using Dan (for fun) at round 2, i was left with a quarter and Ryu was throwing me, all of a sudden during the animation, i got ‘signed out of playstation network’… i wanted to come back online and msg the fellow but i couldnt remember his ID …
if you reconnect right away the player should be the top PSN in your recent buddy list~
TKs for the tip. will look out for this.
Nah, I dodged that bullet.
The lines are from having a CRT, display because your playing it on an SDTV. Same thing used to happen me when I took comparison pics of PAL vs NTSC games for NTSC-UK.com on the Ps1 & 2 years back.
You wont get pics like that even on the shitest of camera’s with a HDTV (motion blur sure, but nothing like that).
Funny rage quit though
Don’t these morons know they get a loss for Rage quitting? So what’s the point of doing it? You’re gonna get a loss anyway why not fight the match and learn something from the loss?
Lol mike. I put it in the bad games thread for ya.
