Amazing what people will do to protect a number only they can see.
I had a guy quit on me during a championship match…AGAIN!!
Once again he had 0% DC ration. WTF?
And nothing a quick hexedit or save backup wouldnt fix.
they just dont get it.
that shits gold
Pac is the IRL raging demon.
So I managed to get myself into a couple of player matches with the infamous oberfuhrer56, and took him out quite a few times with ease. The result was a long string of messages to and from each other. What’s really weird is that I was at my house with a bunch of friends, and we were all laughing hysterically at what was occurring, and the messages this guy sent seemed to reflect that he assumed just that:

After this one, I started to win rounds with nothing but throws and light pokes. I admit, I’m an asshole.

And after this one, I think I was just trying to piss him off to get more messages. I beat him with Dan and taunted the entire round, I beat him by not even letting him move with Fuerte’s mixup, I beat him with a run-away fireball-spamming Akuma, and a ton of other things that new players like to get mad about.

What’s with this guy wanting me to call him so much, anyway?
Dammit, me too. The music sucks, the stage design is boring, and it hurts the eyes. You can’t even get it when you pick random. JUST LET IT BE.
I always pick the training stage when the other person has “in training” as his title or has nothing filled in in both icon and title…
My title is “in training.” You may have done that to me before. =P
IronManMick1304 on XBL
It was only the end of the first round too. A G2 semi-final though, maybe he wanted an easy ride.

That has to be the worst photo, ever taken
That guy is off his nut.
I have the worst phone ever made
Bastard ragequit on me today during a g2 final.
Ive only gotten that far 4 times so far, so sure enough I had a nice 55k+ pot going…
and disc in the 3rd round, when he had no health and spammin sonic booms and I casually jumping over them…
I only have 2300 gp and I beat a 13k guy, then a 9k guy…
im getting tired. he had 2% disc i believe. I give 3> benefit of the doubt, but I may have to kick them now too.
Yeah, I don’t get it…
I play people in G2-E brackets with barely over 2K points (I’m at 2100) who are VERY good…then in the next match I play a guy with 5K GP and I walk all over him.
I’m wondering if some of these high point, low skill players got all those points in the first few days of CE mode???
I just don’t get it?
have any of you guys played “HQN Android”? he uses Elf and every time hes about to lose he rages and challenges you again and when hes gonna win he stays in the match. happened to me about twice in one day
like one of the guys I fought had a Honda, and had 2100gp. it was the semi finals
Im not one to talk smack, but this guy was really bad. not a single command throw or sumo splash. just alot of random headbutts and i think was a standing jab into rapid punches and some standing fierces. thats it.
I had Gief. Im not heavy into lariat spam but if hes gonna keep headbutting, im gonna spin right round, baby right round.
anyways. guy never tech hit to recover either. didnt even play crossups on em.
I win and got 20k cp from em. so somehow he beat 2 other people, about 10k each with that shoddy headbutt spam…
I was really expecting a disconnect.
I was also wondering what happens if you save your tournament data separately on a memcard and then win a tourney final, get the GP, then restore the memcard to give you back the finals status and go again… i hope the tourney data stores the gp too and not just your fight status.
GP is almost entirely based on how much you play, not how good you are. I don’t consider myself a great player, but I win about 80% of the G2 tournaments I participate in (this % was lower when CP mode was new, now all the average G3ers are in G2). I’ll usually play around two full tournaments a day, which ends up being around 40 minutes of playtime. I’ve played tons of 10K+ players that suck, and plenty of guys like me (5000 GP or lower) that are a lot better than the 10K players. Of course there are some monsters in the 10K region, but a lot of them get there just by playing 24/7.
I don’t know why Capcom doesn’t add a # of wins and win% per character (or even overall). The Japanese arcade BP system is a good one. I’d say Capcom just needs to add the disconnect rate and blind select to that. Also, they should fix the search (why do I always get people with lower BP when I search for “more skilled”).
I fought this guy a month ago. Got a few funny messages between the both of us( He kept asking me to call him:confused:). I’ll try to post them up later… though I am horribly lazy.
