Yes I did have someone say that to me. He said something to the effect of “they are my points and you don’t deserve them.”
Another guy said, “I have better people to play with my time.” I nearly perfected him two straight rounds and he would only have to wait five seconds to disc at the medals screen but whatever. He had better players to play in that five seconds.
Are you saying that if someone quits/drops connection mid match - they LOSE their BP? …And does that apply to both players (the quitter and the quitted-on)?
I thought that the current online system cannot differentiate between who’s connection dropped and both players’ BP stayed the same after a disconnect.
…And also, if they had waited until the medals screen they would have kept their BP?
He is saying that instead of dropping midmatch and griefing the winning player about to win, they can just take the loss and disconnect at the medal screen. This makes it so the loser does not lose points and get a loss counted against him. The winner gets his points + win and keeps going.
Many people with high BPs do this, lose the match? Whatever, Ill just go back to dashboard and its like that match was never played
Good ole superner21.
I had em disc on me 2x, weeks apart.
Then I saw em the other day and for shits n giggles I picked dan and taunted like crazy and then “lost connection”.
He started flaming me that he knew it would happen. I said I didnt wanna waste my time tearing em up to have him disc.
So i went back in again with gief and beat em, but it was a good match unlike the first 2 beatings. he actually didnt disc for once.
I’ve been playin player matches for a while and recently got back to ranked cos I wasn’t finding anyone great and I never noticed how EVERYONE PLAYS THE SAME. I saw one guy B-Izm (I think he posts here) and we had some close matches but the Blanka players just hold uf for crossups, and it seems like the Ryus and Sagat’s aren’t aware they can FADC.
yesterday a guy defeated me in the first round.
the second round was my turn and i started the “ultra” to win the round.
then the connection to the player was lost.
i thought, “oh god, a ragequitter”. I tried to wrote him a message and found out that my xbl-connection was lost.
If anyone actually reads this, their should also be a site for people who start capping their internet when they lose the 1st round, making it BS to play, especially as FL.
Last night I was playing against a friend… he’s playing as E. Honda against my Blanka. He’s generally way better than me with that matchup (the last time I checked I think it was 12-2)… lands an Ultra on me when I have maybe 1/10 of my health left. As Honda is slapping away, we get disconnected… totally look like a ragequit, but obviously - since we’re friends and we play all the time - we don’t have any reason to quit. It did look super suspicious, though.
So it does happen by itself at inopportune times. First time that it’s happened to me (knowing it was a random disconnect) in around 80 hrs of gameplay though.
This has happened to me before. A good thing to do if an accidental disconnect occurs is to send a message apologizing and offer your opponent a rematch. That’s what I always do.
