I’ve quit in the middle of matches when I see people with really high (I’m talking over 25% here) disconnect rates. If I see someone a really large disconnect rate I’ll choose Dan, taunt any whiffs, and try to beat them. (Once I actually managed to cancel a round-winning fireball into a Viper who missed the Ultra into a Legendary Taunt.) If by the second round, they’re still Winning, I’ll disconnect and send them a message saying “How do you like it when it happens to you?”.

Not quite. What I usually try to do is push their disconnect rate up even higher, and if they don’t disconnect, I give them a taste of their own medicine if they’re winning, I don’t see anything wrong with this. Why should I give them any points when they’ve clearly abused the game themselves to get more points than they deserve. I’ve only ever done it once or twice anyway.
What I don’t get though, is when people disconnect when they’re losing the first level of Championship Mode, in fact, in ANY level of Championship Mode. You don’t lose points when you lose, why are you disconnecting on me, forcing me to play another match, while you go back to round 1 whatever you do, and yes I’m aware that they probably do this for that exact reason.
You lose points in G1. But I don’t see a reason to justify a disconnect from that ^
Wouldn’t your own disconnect rate go up? So ppl should start disconnecting when playing you, to push it even higher. And then others should do it to them, to give them a tatse of their own medicine. And then…
I’m really reluctant about saying this, but disconnecting your Xbox with the wall switch does not increase your disconnect rate. I noticed this because once my flat had a power failure in the middle of the match, and my Disconnect rate didn’t increase at all. So I figured the cause.
Been a while since I got some hatemail but yeah, bad gief who lost to my Cammy, he didn’t ragequit but left after the first set in player match and decided to send me this little gem lol:
Why is it largely the gief players that get all butthurt when they loose? If I get a ragequit these days its usually from a gief.

not sure if this counts as rage quit , i picked the wrong character so before the match even begun i signed out and for some reason lost 100 + points and now have 1 % disconnect

Actually badgers, if you have like 300 matches on your record, and 1 disconnect, you won’t get 1% D//C rate, since it averages out to 0%, not 1%.
Incorrect. I had at once point never disconnected, and had easily played over 500 matches, and then once I accidentally accepted a “join party AND GAME” invite from someone on my friends list while in a championship character select. BAM, 1% disconnect rate.
