It’s not. I just recently got the 360 version of the game and I’m getting as many rage quits on Live as I did on PSN. Your friend either has fewer battle points than you, or is just plain lucky.
You do get more hate mail on Live, though. But I’m not sure if that’s a plus or a minus for the community. It seems to me that people on PSN are too lazy to write hate mail. It is quite a pain in the ass to type using the controller, I guess. At least the 360 has the option of voice messages…

BTw just wondering, when someone pull the plug…how r they able to have a new game set up immediately…scrubs quit on me and when i get back to refreshing the list…i see that same scrub with a new game set up. and usualy it takes a few seconds to set one up but their rooms are up immediately…
Well I’m guessing in that case they didn’t intentionally quit on you and merely lost connection so they got booted back to arcade mode.
I had two people quit on me not too long ago. One of them quit at the end of the first round. :looney: I think his name was JSwag or something like that. At that point, I was tempted to take pics, but I have no batteries at the moment, so whatever.
Some fool called I AM something quit on me last night after I beat him pretty bad the first round, but when I went to recent players to give him neg feedback, he wasn’t even listed? WTF?!?
That is yet another bug the game has. Pisses me off when it happens vs a good player.
While some may not agree, I actually enjoy ragequitters, and feel that they are a necessary evil. Though the act itself is dasterdly beyond words, the empowerment you get from from it happening is the closet thing to watching a loser at the arcade slam the donkey kong machine next to him while on lookers laugh at his wasted change. So while I might enjoy the battle points more, I’ll settle for rattling your cage anyday XD
For the coup de grace I usually message them GG for good measure.
Ill usually get some stream of obscenities tossed back at me. Now I have report fodder too.
I can sorta understand people pulling to keep from losing BP. But cmon, do at the BP gained/lost screen. See if you got really shellacked by someone a good 2000 more bp than you and at least give them the points for beating you. I dont understand some people.
I often message them saying you don’t learn by running from beatings. This is why theyre up higher vs harder people. your bp should be at your level so you can fight your level… idiots…
To be fair the competition seems to vary a lot - I stormed my way up to 4k bp then had like 4-5 losses in a row to good players who were playing characters I never see - C.Viper, Dhalsim, Rufus, Gouken.
I have a new hatred for Gouken’s ability to throw you into his ultra - must be nice to actually have a usable ultra.
Man, I just dc’d after losing the first match (before the second match started). Completely unintentional, completely out of my hands… sent an apology, but I hope I don’t appear on this thing!
I love that…but with most good players its hard to catch them slippin…but when you do it is so rewarding.
I remember i played a dude from the SOHH forums named Bwrekka…dude got scrubbed and quit i pm’d him and said “Gouken ftw” dude got mad and messaged me back sayin “Gouken is cheap f**k off”
It was hilarious.
It must be at least a little bit difficult because more people seem to miss than land that one in my experience. If it worked 100% of the time, I’d hate it too. I imagine if I were playing next to someone in an arcade and they tried that, I’d have to start shouting obscenities into their ear in an effort to force them to miss :lol:

Purposely dc’ing is lame. Who cares about BP. Having a high BP doesn’t mean you are a good player.
Lol dat move…its like so easy to land…i don’t understand how they miss it either…it works 99.5% of the time for me.

Instead of rage quitting, just save everyone the time and quit the game.
Ive raged quit a couple times out of a few hundreds losses heh. Usually not because of my opponent, just me doing stupid things with dhalsim and getting all angry,
