Isn’t there a bit of armor properties on R. Mika’s Shooting Peach?
I saw that happen in the Ryu vs Mika video above. Ex Shooting peach absorbed one of the hits, so it might serve as a decent reversal against fireball happy users.
The armor hit on EX Shooting Peach might be your only real wake up choice now that @Great_Dark_Hero mentions it. Not sure what the frame advantage on block is, but I can’t imagine it’s very good. Would use sparingly.
Indeed. I don’t know how it does against throw happy users, but at the very least you could get some free hits from someone who is trying to be cute with fireballs and wake up pressure.
She doesn’t do the butt attack when the EX is blocked. The elbow rush should be safe.
Oh yeah! Because, if the player performs the EX Shooting Peach, R. Mika ends performing two elbow rush attacks and then her butt slam animation. She would stop on the second hit… it looked safe… (safe-ish).
That is true. Hopefully she’ll be in the next beta and we can test out this sort of stuff.

From what I saw, it looks like you can link a light normal after cr. MP.
just to clarify: her command grab has 4 frames of startup animation with the 5th frame being the first active frame. however, frame data convention will often include the first active frame as part of the move’s startup, so this would be considered a 5 frame move (in the same way that sf4 balrog’s cr.jab is considered 3f)

And here’s the other one from Tatsu. Yeah that’s what I’m thinking: No more 2-frame command grabs in addition to no more 360 butter churning. Love it, fucking love it (not a fan of butter churners).
EDIT: Although now I wonder if regular throws are still 3-frames. If command grabs aren’t throw invincible, then regular throws beat command grabs 100% of the time, similar to how Makoto’s Karakusa is beaten by regular throws in USF4.
If anything, I really hope Mika ends up being mid-tier so when the game comes out, you don’t get all these whiners complaining about people playing busted characters.
Obviously it seems close to impossible to pull of her full mic speech in a real match. But watch, someone’s going to do it anyway.

If she is top tier, people will complain, if she is low tier people will complain, if she is mid tier people will still complain, if she wasn’t in the game people would complain, as she is in the game people are complaining.
As usual scrubs will hate her because they hate throws and more experienced players will just make do with it.
If they complain that means she’s not the worst character in the game and that’s good enough. A word of advice someone said one time is “if they’re not angry and complaining when you beat them, your character probably isn’t good enough.”
