R.Mika General Thread: She's Stone Cold

My bad, saw it. ^^
What happens if she let’s the full v-skill animation play out?
We showcased this a few posts up. ^^ Check the spoilers.

The first rule of SFV. Never let Mika cut a full promo.

She can also John Cena Vega’s Super during her V-skill charge (assuming the hit of armor isn’t gone)

Mika cannot stack buffs like Hakan does Oil.

I had a thought. If Mika activates V-trigger before starting her V-skill, can she call in Nadeshiko while she’s cutting a promo?

Yes, however the amount of time between Nade coming in (Charge/no charge) and the amount you’d get from the promo doesn’t make it too worthwhile.

I used the V-Skill more of a focus/fireball eat move over anything else.

Wait, I think I misunderstood how her V-trigger works. I thought it was a mode, and then you press it again to choose where Nade comes in like a Marvel assist. Is that not how it works?

My post kinda actually did two things at once haha.

So the way it works is you can go back, neutral or forward and Nade will come in either immediately (quick press) or delayed (holding it so she does the double point up motion)

I wonder can you see it, like is there a visual effect when your throws do more damage? And how long does it last once activated?

R. Mika emits a small shock wave around herself after a set period of time during the V-Skill as she speaks on the mic.

Also here is another video… for those who are curious…

EDIT: R. Mika >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Auto-Correct.

Ah was already guessing that. So that means with every shockwave her throws get stronger.

I’m actually surprised no one’s posted this yet

Back to on topic, I think it’s worth investigating the ‘levels of hype’ R Mika builds and how they transfer through the rounds, how long they stay, and if you can stock pile them. I don’t think there’s been a definitive statement on that.

yea if you can stock pile it…like do a little at a time to reach different levels…then i can see it working and being good, but if you have to do the promo till she gets to level 1 i have a feeling it might not be that good.

There is more!

Oh RIP, is doing commentary, too! I saw him playing SFV for some time on his stream, though he normally plays Tekken as his main game.

 • The matches for R. Mika… start at: 10:20 (R Mika vs Ryu), 22:28 (R. Mika vs Necalli), 31:00 (R. Mika vs Ryu)
 • 25:58: I knew the R. Mika player was going try something like this at one point. Use a normal the cancels into special moves… in this case, R. Mika whiffed Wingless Airplane to quickly get on the other side of the player.

EDIT:
youtube link fixed.

My my, it’s time to Mika haters shut up :o and enjoy how powerful she has been getting in SF5.

My girl never let me down B)

Mika god-tier haha

Of course, would never happen in a real match, but its cool to see the full extent of her power

I want to play her so bad right now. With every video of her my hype gets more intense. I hope she will be in the second or third beta phase.
I barely played grapplers before but that’s because most of them are slow male grapplers. She reminds me of She Hulk which is my favorite Marvel character. Female grapplers are much cooler than male grapplers imo. =)

Its probably been mentioned before, but here is her quote to Chun:

“Thanks for all your guidance! True pros sure are a cut above!”

I wonder if Alex or Gief make it onto the initial roster if people will ditch her?

I would like to see her throws animate differently at higher levels of heat. Seeing a throw that hits for 10-15% suddenly hit for 80% is really tough to look at.
I was expecting something like this for her max heat giant swing.
