I actually think someone’s wish for character specific promos might actually be true.
When Combofiend was showing off the promo at 4:00 in the video(before that dickhead cut it off) Mika was saying something about “…out shoes quick…”, and her opponent was Ryu the notorious shoeless fighting hobo.
Am I the only one that wished the Gamespot guy would shut up for two seconds? I don’t think he took a breath during the whole video.

It’s always been that way. Once he activates it, he keeps it for the entire rest of the round.

Honestly, I love the return of R. Mika. People complain about the return of low tier characters but this is a chance for them to be more viable for tournament use. I’d love to pick Sean and not get funny looks in SFV lmao. But I’d say she looks like a serious contender in this game, and her design is fine to me. Would you rather her look like Goldust?!
Mika when left alone will definitely fill that V-Trigger quick. V trigger builds meter on activation, every single time she talks it builds a chunk, if she absorbs a hit then theres a bit more, and when the mic hits as well.
In SFA3 there were many characters to choose from, so she kinda got lost in the shuffle. Plus she wasn’t that great.
I think her revamp in SF5 has made people interested in her, for real this time. And the fact that the initial roster is small, it means more people are likely to experiment with her. I feel this is her time to shine
After seeing stuff she defiantly looks like an interesting character to use, i wasn’t calling for her to be in the game but i didnt hate her unlike birdie, but in both mika and birdie that’s 2 characters i’ll use for sure, they’ve done a good job taking characters who you might not have liked before and making them interesting.
