Nah, your being harder on yourself than you need to be again. It is for meaty set ups and to form a scramble situation. You COULD grind both the jump timing for this under high pressure situations in casuals. You COULD then grind all the different match up specific scramble reactions, but it is at its base a different situation /mentally/. The meaty is quicker and more weirdly timed than most of her standard meaties.
Either Fuudo uses some mental trick from another game (which given his history I find highly likely,) to parallel the situation in his head, or he grinded this a lot. So yeah there is hard work to do for it, but it is really a different situation than anything you would train on R.Mika and its not easily trainable in training mode without a lot of forethought on the playback recordings. If you WANT to get better at this, there are some links in the Season 2 thread that describe some of the meaty set ups for the combo (if I remember correctly. Itās been awhile.) But this boils down to style. This isnāt that necessary for the character unless your jonesing for season 1 level scramble mix ups. Given clips you have posted here of yourself, Iād think not really as you enjoy anti-airing over air to air situations (or at least you donāt normally air to air when you could reasonably do it for equal benefit.)
TL;DR Negative self talk is self sabotaging and I believe you might not really stylistically want to do this combo. Is it laziness to not train something if it doesnāt fit your style?
Edit: Apologies for being presumptuous, but I figured youād appreciate someone calling you out for this. Let me know if you donāt want me to and Iāll just not in the future.
Nah itās alright. Itās honestly a bad habit. With fighting games I tend to get really hard on myself due to me wanting to get better. So I appreciate the callout.
Patience is the key to this match up. Sim players use to land yoga fireballs: here the moment when you need to catch them with ex peach.
Plus, delaying your wake up is also a good option to avoid his mixups with teleport. Itās not that rare Sim players waking up with CA, so beware on it and, if so, land a command grab in order to convert its animation into a safe alternative against those slow and giant burns.
