Seriously, if they nerf Mika, I’m just stop playing. She’s only meh right now, if she losses any tools i don’t have other characters i care to play.
I think the shout casters, especially Mike ross, need to chill the f out. They call Mika skill less, and go on about 1 touch kill when every fking character can corner carry and one touch kill, it’s just retarded they think Mika is anything special or powerful.

It is like most of my predicted nerfs happened.
You’re why we can’t have nice things. Not even just limited to Mika but players like you are why we’re overall likely to end up with a SFV S2 edition that’s more limited, slower paced and generally kind of boring compared to S1 edition. Do you know why? Because rather than research how to deal with something that’s challenging you just complain to Capcom like a helpless bleating lamb hoping that they’ll solve your problems for you. Hope you’re happy.
Dat salt lol. I never had trouble beating Mika with Laura. DP characters were my issue, and even they got nerfed. That vid is more toward all the crying I’ve been seeing from Mika mains.
Me myself, I’m not mad, I’m worried on how capcom ended up to improve this game… even more dryer. Taking funny stuffs out isn’t the best way to correct some uncomfortable situations. Games are supposed to be fun, primarily.

I look around even with my Chun. Everyone lost something but gained something else for the most part. Like Chun lost IALL being as dominant but gained cr.LK into legs. Ken lost his 4F B.MP but got MK-HK into HK tatsu.
Mika got squat, there is nothing different but a pile of nerfs and tools getting removed. I think she will still be alright after all of this. She fits the meta really well, she just won’t steam roll people anymore because of the nerfs but all around, i honestly think it is ok. Most of her problematic characters got hit as well so there is that.
I agree. I don’t think she is now trash tier. It’s about being less funny to play.
Let’s keep in mind that these changes are unlikely to be final. There’s stil time between now and Season 2 for Mika to get buffed.
With that being said, I’m not optimistic. If Mika gets nerfed to the ground and I don’t like any of the Season 2 characters, I’m dropping this game for Guilty Gear.
Yeah if you can’t beat it, just hope it gets nerfed, right?

Guilty Gear was actually the series that got me into 2D fighters. I played Reload casually offline with a friend on PC and then we got Accent Core for PSP and played the shit out of that. Didn’t get a PS4 until August when I won one in a 3v3 SFV team tournament, so I missed out on Sign. After I got my PS4, the first game I bought was Revelator. I’ve only played a handful of times since but it’s been fun. I’m still trying to find a main. Used to play Potemkin because my execution sucked and I couldn’t even IAD. Trying out Raven right now. He’s cool.
If any of these changes then she would be Trash
- Not having 3F.
- cr.HP nerf
- St.MP into EX peach as a link
- F.HP not being plus ( Have to be at-least +1)
- charged drop kick got changed
- worse hitbox on crossup J.LK
- EX Rainbow typhoon retained damage and range.
If Mika retained all of that then she would be alright overall. I tried playing her today online a bit with no side switch, and no mid screen wall bounce. I still did well. I won all of my casuals and 10-1 a platinum Vega in a FT10.
The problem now is that any mixups involving crossing under and puting yourself in the corner have become obsolete. So we have to work with only the 50/50 throw or hit.
Please show posts of mine hoping for DP nerfs. Really wasn’t expecting that at all, and I’d play regardless so please shut the fuck up kiddy chaser.

I’d say Potemkin is honestly one of the more execution heavy characters. Anyway, good luck with the search, Raven is a really strong character
