Can’t wait to see some gameplay footage. I’m not really a character fan but I appreciate the original V-Skill and V-Trigger work on R. Mika. We also get to see a more current version of the game.
Also Mika isn’t horrible in A3. Tiers are pretty deceiving/sqaushed after B rank characters in that game
A3 was still played competitively in countries that didn’t suck at it (aka not USA) well into 2006-7. It only died out quickly here due to Naomi games being popular.
I really like some of the minor details for the character, and having her all that unique stuff.
After her EX giant swing @0:39 for example, she’s just sitting on the ground cheering. I’m a sucker for stuff like this.
Still the char I’m most interested in so far, still hoping for… more. B(
Except what she’s doing in that part before Nadeshiko V-Trigger hits is actually a Bulldog.
A stunner is from a three quarter facelook, where the head is over the shoulder (like in her V-Reversal, which actually is the Stone Cold Stunner). During the grab to V-Trigger, she has her opponent’s head under her arms in a headlock.
I’m surprised that they didn’t give her outfit a major redesign. Don’t care personally because I like tits and ass in my games but you just know SJW retards will flip their shit when they see this.
I’m so happy that Mika’s in. She’s the only character I want to play now (mainly because she’s the only true grappler in the game so far).
I hope they add a second girl grappler as her rival, maybe get a Fuerte/Zangief rivalry going on. I heard a rumor that the new character from Brazil might be a girl grappler, but of course, that might’ve just been people fucking with me.
I got to say as someone who has never payed the Alpha games, i am very much looking forward to trying this character. I am generally a big fan of wrestlers in fighting games and she is looking up to be great. I was hooked when i saw her do the overhead lift command throw and the powerbomb to Vega. I am very glad that there is a female wrester finally toss around and actually manhandle the other fighters. Most of the time they are just luchas with flips and hurricanrana and such. While Mika does also have that aspect, she is also more of a traditional wrester which is great.
One thing that i find to be pretty weird is that she does not seem to have a german suplex. I could have sowrn that i have seen her do it in one of the Alpha games footage but maybe i am wrong.
I just want to send everyone to Suplex city with this lovely lady.
Pretty happy this character returned after over 15 years of waiting.
Ono and Capcom cares not for the new wave of video game feminazism … lol … hold that Sh*t Sarkeesian …
V-skill and V-Trigger look so fun … I’m glad to see the engine can handle big extras like having an assist like characters …
It’s Mahvel Baybee !!! … Looks like it could be too much.
Just wondering how’s she going open people up and close the gap without the V-trigger though.
Also her critical art looks nice way to leave the afterlife …lol …
It’s also just nice to see a female grappler/wrestler represented in a fighting game , since most female characters tend to be low health speedsters. I hope she has good health and attack too. ( Probably not attack though , since her V-skill increases her power already) Hopefully she will not be as awkward to use as before.
I didn’t see the mashable headlock though , I hope it’s not gone. You could say the Stone Cold Stunner might replace it , but that looks like a V-Reversal only looking move to me.
The Tag Team V-Trigger also completely makes up for losing the Wrestling Ring Super … infact it’s even more fun and insane looking.
Coincidentally, they made a tier list that was also updated last year only for A-ism (i.e. where all the brokenness is removed). Certain placements I don’t agree with but aren’t most tier lists subjective? Also A3 only died out real early in the U.S. It’s still being played this very day in Japan. On the contrary, they released new tournament videos last month. Some top A3 players back in 06-07 still play now.
