“Bottom” tier you say?
She was far from the worst in A3. Not bad at all in V-ism, just not top.

Juli was the true bottom tier of that game.
Honda was ass too, but Mika was pretty bad. One of the worst IMO.
Wrong.
Juli was the true bottom tier of that game.
Also wrong, although it should be true.
AND HER NAME IS R.MIKAAAAAAAAA!!!~~

Vesper obviously doesn’t follow wrestling. That “stunner-like” grab is a Bulldog.
A stunner is a common term in professional wrestling referring to the sitout ¾ facelock jawbreaker maneuver. It was innovated by Mikey Whipwreck who called it the Whipper-Snapper, but it was popularized by Stone Cold Steve Austin, who faced Whipwreck in Extreme Championship Wrestling. The move was named for Austin's Stone Cold Stunner finisher. It involves an attacking wrestler applying a three-quarter facelock (reaching back and grabbing the head of an opponent, thus pulling the opponent's jaw a...
A stunner is a jawbreaker (breaking against your shoulder), not a bulldog.
Shit. Looking at Mika now she’s definitely bottom tier…if you know what I’m saying.
Her butt. She got a big butt.
The fact that she doesn’t have a stupid run with cancels and wall jumps and a backwards run makes her a lot less of an idiot character than Fuerte. Fuerte is a mistake that cannot be repeated; he is capcom’s lowest low of a character.
bless this thread
ill come back once things settled…right now things are in the scrub phase
Ohhh shit, Birdie was so bad I forgot be was even in A3 lol.

D3v is right, one of her grabs is in fact a bulldog. The stunner is the v reversal.
P. Small tbh.

I wonder how she would have fared in A3 had v-ism not existed. Now, I know that’s hearsay but,
Would we ever allow characters as broken as v-akuma today? We wouldn’t play A3 for 5 minutes after seeing how bullshit that game is with v-ism.
I mean, it’s a hugely invincible attack that leads to either an 80% combo or getting your gaurd gauge broken. And you start the round with full meter. Ugh.
It’s amazing to me that people call Mika a shitty character. Her first iteration was in the final installment of a stupidly broken game that was dead within 2 years of being released. She never had a chance.
My bad, yes she has a running bulldog, too.
i wonder if her irishwhip throw was a caned sequence or if you have the chance to try and go for something a bit more elaborate

Even with how crazy V ism potentially is, the most interesting thing about Alpha 3 is how much fundamentals you still see being played. You only get full meter at the beginning of the first round and sometimes people still opt to burn the meter on alpha counters or save it for later. Alpha counters and tight placed reversals are used at times to get out of otherwise really bad V ism situations also.
I love watching ACho matches of Alpha 3 because it shows a modernly played jump to a time when people could still adapt to things and play fundamentally through a bunch of things that would be considered insurmountable or uncontrollable by how long people have been playing the softer new games. The amount of things I see people call OP on in SFIV or other newer games that are so soft compared to what’s in Alpha 3 is entertaining. Worst even is the people that use the word broken for anything in new age games. Like nah.
Which even then I still prefer what fundamentally goes on overall in Alpha 3 over SFIV by a long shot.
They really brought R.Mika to life with the tag team, fits her like a glove and feels very unique in the current cast. Now I just wonder how her inputs will look like, especially the command grabs.
I’m surprised she translated so well to a new 3D model. She looks awesome! Dat plumpness. However, I really wouldn’t mind that playable Nadeshiko costume swap~
Man, everyone they bring to this game just looks mad fun. Half the cast, I want to main the fuck of. I’ve no idea how I’ll survive that, spoiled for choice. If Q manages to come back…oh gawd.
P. Small tbh.

For a woman her size. It’s pretty plump. Not sit a drink on big, but it got some size. Besides me personally I don’t like butts to be too big.

Got a link to any of those? Alpha 3 was part of my childhood, and I’d love to look back at some great matches

This is what I’m currently watching. From Acho’s historic olympic tournament where they play a bunch of OG games in tournament on the same day or stretch of days.

Look up gameacho and acho battle movie. 2 good channels for Alpha 3 and other anime or OG game footage.
